Idaho militia revealed: Photo essay shows intense training and bonding of heavily armed group

Via avordvet

The Light Foot Militia members from Idaho and Washington pose for a portrait of the grassroots army that formed in 2009 after President Obama’s inauguration.

The small, reclusive group that believes in defending the Constitution by force if necessary allows a photographer into its midst for its third annual gathering.

Armed to the teeth and dressed in camouflage uniforms, they train like they're soon to head for the front lines.

But these are warriors of the homeland, a grassroots armed militia protecting the Constitution and defending against tyranny, they say. Formed in 2009 after President Obama was inaugurated, the Light Foot Militia prepares to help in the event of emergency, a supplementary armed force in time of anarchy. The group is highly paranoid of government suppression of freedom.
