I just tried it. Burns like a candle, but its hard to light. It seems you need the paper to act as a cup to hold the melted wax and vapors burn above it. When it burns down too far into the paper it goes out. After I peeled the paper off, I couldn't get it to light. Needs more experimentation.
That's interesting, I'm going to try that.
