These sorts of stories always leave me wondering, meaning; The empathy, understanding and love animals show for one another is compared, in my mind, to recent stories of human interactions; the foster child chained to a porch with a dead animal tied to him, a 4 year old put into intensive care by the mothers's cop bf, etc, etc. The whole damn world has lost it's mind.
