Remember their innocent faces.
Two former California police officers were acquitted Monday in the death of a homeless man after a violent struggle with officers that was captured on surveillance video.
It was a rare case in which police officers were charged with a death involving actions on duty.
Former Fullerton police officer Manuel Ramos was acquitted of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. Former Cpl. Jay Cicinelli was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force.
Cincinelli embraced his lawyer and put his face in his hands as the verdict concluded.
Outside court, Thomas's parents condemned the verdict.
"Just horrified," Cathy Thomas said. "He got away with murdering my son. It's just not fair. So I guess it's legal to go out and kill now. He was so innocent. It just isn't fair at all."

Some time ago, I stopped looking at the place (town/state) where the event occurred when reading about police brutality: it happens everywhere.
ReplyDeleteBut in this case, which I have wanted to know the outcome of for quite some time, it was only today that I realized: it's in California.
"Ah... makes perfect sense..." - I said to myself.
It's that state, that I never visited - and now I never will - where there are probably the most amount of gangs, and the largest and most dangerous one is police and sherriffs.
It's that state where an innocent man (remember: "innocent until proven guilty"... which he never was proven) was burned alive, and several other innocent people were nearly murdered while the gang was looking for him (on a side note: if the gang members had been better trained, the victims would have been shot dead, but luckily the thugs are not very good shots, and the victims survived).
Yeah, THAT state... where justice is blind, no doubts, and can an advanced sense of smell, which feels pigs and makes sure they are doing OK, even if she cannot see them due to her blindness.
Mark my words:
when the festivities finally begin, Cali is going to become a very interesting place.
Maybe the next earthquake will be severe enough to break it off from the continent.
DeleteWe have a "legal system" not a "justice system." Perhaps, justice will catch up later.
ReplyDeleteI pray.
DeleteThe Thomas family needs to kit up and go hunting.
ReplyDeleteThe wild boar population has gotten outta control.
I was dumbfounded when I read this. Absolutely unbelievable.
DeleteAnd if they had gang raped a seven year old or killed and eaten a baby the "verdict" would have been exactly the same. The message is now very clear; The overseers can do as they will with the property of the government. We no longer have any "rights" , of any kind, that the badge NAZI scum are bound to recognize.

DeleteThe sky is the limit, if they think they can get away with it.
This shit will not stop until we decide it's time. They'll keep killing and abusing their power unchecked just like the Militarization groupies want it. I'm guessing Federal grants and all that military hardware gives them a pass to murder citizens and get away with it. I didn't join and serve my Corps to be "Public Servantized".... If they want to be militarized so damned bad, there are plenty of recruiters around with contracts needing to be signed.
ReplyDeleteI assume the majority of these deviants are not ex-service.
