So, it’s a warm day, and you’re standing in a parking lot, drinking a refreshing can of iced tea.
Suddenly, a random dude walks up and demands your beverage. You show him that it is in fact iced tea and that you aren’t publicly intoxicated. He tells you to give him the can and you say no, figuring this stranger can get his own iced tea.

Lord have mercy! I do hope this man demands a jury trial. If I were on that jury, he would walk free in 22 seconds. Have the cops and prosecutor got nothing better to do than harass people with no probable cause???
ReplyDeleteYes, but seems like he might take the safe way out.
DeleteI was on a jury once upon a time in north Florida where the prosecutors thought they had a slam dunk on a domestic abuse/assault case. They laid out their opening evidence, and I thought Yup, this man is going down. Then the defense attorney got up there, and he asked us to keep an open mind because there was "way more to the story." (This was shortly after the OJ trial, and the defendant was a young black man.) As I listened to both sides, I thought "What the hxxxlll did these women prosecutors waste our time for on such a trivial ridiculous situation? It was unanimous and speedy decision to exonerate this young man. Justice should prevail and abuse of power will be exposed.
ReplyDeleteExcellent and thanks.

ReplyDeleteTake any situation.
Introduce a cop into the equation.
Most likely, more than one person's day is gonna be ruined.
Just amazing these days.
