Yes and I was very much impressed.
Beavers on the other hand deserve no such sympathy - I am half Canadian on my mother's side, and I have seen what these little monsters can do. Nice pelts, for sure. )

yes, but as with all those 'northern' critters that endure cold winters, they have that subcutaneous layer of fat that makes them a bit greasy.
