What is wrong with this woman?
In this picture you will see Deborah K. Jones, US Ambassador to Libya, holding the hand of one of the most extreme Muslim terrorists. She is meeting with a group from the tribe Zentan. The Zentan tribe is split into a couple of factions the least of these is their Islamic extremist arm made up of maybe 25 or 30 people. Why would Deborah Jones chose to meet with the most radical of this tribe and "hold hands with the elder?"
In the Muslim community you do not see men holding hands with women that are not their wives or daughters or that they are not intimate with, this raises too many questions to list.

She's a Democrat. That would provide quite a few answers to those questions.

DeleteWell, I am back (had a glass of wine) and am ready to say something silly again: Who can ever forget W holding hands with Abdullah -
ReplyDeletehttp://politicalhumor.about.com/library/images/blbushabdullahhands.htm
To the serious question at hand, maybe it was Huma Abedin Weiner who set them up on a date?
:) He didn't really hold his hand, I hope. :)
DeleteOh yes he did -- this bit came from the Houston Chronicle, which interestingly did not print the picture with the story:
ReplyDelete"In this case, when you hold somebody's hand and you lead them, it does show great respect and admiration," al-Jubeir said, adding that the relationship between Abdullah and the Bush family spans two decades.
Al-Jubeir has been surprised by the interest in the hand-holding pictures. "We've gotten more calls on this particular thing than actually what was said," he said, referring to the meetings about oil production, the Middle East and terrorism.
As they say Down Under: Crikey!
Well, I know in some parts of the world and Vietnam being an example, it is not uncommon for male friends to hold hands, but for the life of me, I can't see doing that here.
DeleteI understand about different cultures, but not here, not on our soil, not our President.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, it still doesn't explain the dhimmi female Ambassador holding hands with the muslim terrorist guy. Bizarre to say the least. Hope she doesn't follow in her predecessor's footsteps.
As I say fairly often these days, nothing surprises me anymore. :)
