Whenever we need a weapon that’s powerful and deadly enough to stop a criminal in his tracks, we typically turn to top-notch gun manufacturers like Glock, Smith & Wesson, or whatever gun company happens to be your top pick. But, what do you do when Glock shuts down? What happens when the local gun store closes its doors for good?
It’s simple: you make your own weapons. Mankind has been doing it for thousands of years, so it can’t be that hard, right? Just to prove how it could be, here’s a list of the top 10 most deadly improvised weapons throughout history.

good to know for future reference ;) In that note, I finally watched the movie, "No Country for Old Men" which was pretty boring for the 2+ hours I endured, but was compelled to at least see how it ended and if Tommy Lee Jones actually survived and got to retire as sheriff. The villain carried around what looked like an air compressor with a hose that's used to kill cows painlessly at the slaughter house. Pretty dang effective blowing holes through locks and unsuspecting brains.

An incredible wealth of information, including how to build a barrel rifling device.
I spent hours going through this site. If it is firearm related, it is probably there.
