  2. That brings back memories. My dad traded his 69 SS Camaro for a 71 Road Runner 383 that looked a lot like the 70 in the picture. The Camaro was quick but I remember the Road Runner was scary quick - but I was only 11 when he got it but I do remember that he took the engine apart and put it back together soon after he got it. Dad was a bit of a gear head and he taught me well.

      What happened?

  3. Not bad. I'd prefer that it had a M2 with turret on top with what's heading out way from the Rio Grande.

  4. I had a 69 Dodge Coronet with a 440 six pack and heavy duty suspension, hint: it was an ex Alabama State Police Unmarked Police car with 38,000 miles on the odie and I got in 1974, it was wicked fast once the third six pack opened up. Miss that car I do, but it did not hold a candle to this one.

    2. Yes, imagine you are back in time, a 4 door, what looks like Grandma's going to church on Sunday or a narc car with the station wagon wheels and mini hubcaps, pretty light shade of blue though, it was an captain or higher rank car, the seats and interior were not trashed.

    3. :) I remember back then that people would remove the back door's stuff inside and out, then weld them shut and repaint. Anything to look like a 2 door instead of a 4! :)

    1. Funny.:) This will also which I just replied to one of my daughters:

Reminds me when it was $1 per vehicle at the Warrenton drive-in, so for Rice Smith's birthday her father had a tractor pull a hay wagon with all on board to the movie. $1 and we had a great time as usual .:)

    2. That is funny, you can imagine doing that now, never happen. Those are fond memories that the kids today will never know.

    3. Yes, indeed. Tonight is strange as I just ran across this picture of Rice's younger sister Elizabeth who I called Fishhead, since once I came back to the room where I had changed my bathing suit before I went swimming in their pool and she had put a fish in my underwear! Can't make these things up. :)

  7. Mr Townsend, I am not too familiar with your family, is Rice your wife or daughter?
Were you in said possession of the underwear? Colonel is your Grandfather, or Great Grandfather? What caliber Musket? and do you have the name of the maker?

:) I had left them in the room when I changed into my bathing suit at their house.

I believe he would have been the 4X great grandfather of Rice's and Elizabeth's mother and I don't know the other information, I'm afraid. There was so much of this in the houses where I grew up that it was just considered normal.
