Graphic Body Cam Footage Shows Killer Cop as He Murders an Innocent Unarmed Man

Via Tim

On August 11, 2014 Dillon Taylor was gunned down in broad daylight by Officer Bron Cruz.
The confrontation happened because Cruz confused Taylor with a possible criminal in the area.

Taylor, his brother, and his cousin were exiting a 7-Eleven in an area where police were searching for a suspect who had allegedly been waving a gun around.  These uninvolved young men allegedly matched the description.

When the three men exited the convenience store they were surrounded by officers and ordered to show their hands.  Two of the men stopped and complied, Dillon Taylor, listening to music, kept walking.

Barely 40 seconds go by from the time Dillon is approached until he is shot by Cruz.

  1. Not sure how I feel about this, he was doing what looked like concealing something, not obeying orders... However he was unarmed.

  3. Wrong response man, there is a lot of great, good hearted cops on the beat! Just because a few are falling in line doesn't mean they all are! You going to quit your job and go selflessly protect strangers all day every day? Didn't think so

    1. That was MURDER ONE by a man who should face 10 years being gang raped in general population and then be burnt at the stake while the rest of the blue cowards are forced to watch. The badge pig animal's are not hero's. They are the lowest scum this country offers. God curse all badge NAZI scum. I am sick of the daily list of innocent's brutalized by the badge cowards. I am even more sickened by trash that defend the worthless low life badge turds and help them cover up the ever growing list of the tortured, murdered , raped ,robbed and falsely imprisoned. You want to be a good cop Nic Stone? Kill your self and leave the rest of us alone.

    2. It's not a police officer's job to "protect strangers".

It is the role of a police officer to : a person whose job is to enforce laws, investigate crimes, and make arrests.

Basically, the majority of them are 'revenue agents'. Theft, robbery and extortion by 'legal means' because it's done by the state.

You are confusing our criminal justice system with a "peacekeeper". Something Ann Barnhardt has addressed. I suggest you read up on her blog.

      http://archive.lewrockwell.com/orig12/kofod2.1.1.html

"The Praetorian Class includes members of the Armed Services, federal, state and local law enforcement personnel as well as numerous militarized officials including agents from the DEA, Immigrations, Customs Enforcement, Air Marshalls, US Marshalls, and more. It also includes, although to a lesser extent, various stage actors in the expanding security theater such as TSA personnel. The main mission of the Praetorian Class is to keep the order of the day. This requires displaying an intimidating presence in their interactions with the Economic Class.

As the Praetorian Class ascends, the clear, albeit unstated, message that emerges is that actions and events in the Economic Class only occur with its tacit consent. Whether driving on roads, traveling in the air, visiting public land, walking down the street or even living in your own home, every action you take is predicated on its permission. By preconditioning the populace to enforcement of its edicts, most of which are completely arbitrary, the Praetorian Class sets itself up for a high degree of autonomy in its actions. This is confirmed by the fact that consequences for malfeasance within the Praetorian Class are almost never observed, and when it happens, it typically becomes a grotesque spectacle in which one of their own is sacrificed as an example, so as to keep appearances of effective internal controls."

  4. Some will say about this particular situation that it was a "tough call". Still the fact remains, the officer shot and killed an unarmed kid. I would only say that if a person is that scared, they should not be in the law enforcement business and certainly should not carry a gun. Also, a huge part of the outrage comes from the immunity and double standards that given to LEOS in America today by the judiciary. The excuses of "he (the perpetrator) wouldn't show me has hands", "I thought he was reaching for a gun", etc., are meaningless as these episodes are reviewed over and over watching the life blood pour out of a young man as he dies as a result of "human error". Then there are the "mock" investigations that always wind up playing to the tune of "after an extensive investigation it has been determined that officer Quick Draw acted within department policies and guidelines and has been restored to duty, blah, blah, blah". Try using those same excuses after you unload the 12ga. pump by your nightstand into a SWAT stack that has crashed through your front door in the middle of the night because stretched out informant gave LEO the wrong address, That is if you are lucky enough to survive the flashbangs ,chopper guns, snipers, etc.. Based on what I saw here, If I was sitting in a jury box, I wouldn't have any problem handing down a verdict of GUILTY for a charge of negligent homicide.

& or the Leo didn't read the numbers correctly, something even cab drivers don't do.

  5. Based on the video this appears to be 'legal'. What that means is that the officer did not violate the law and acted upon a perceived threat. Just as the incident in Cleveland where the kid with the toy gun was killed within seconds of LEO arrival.

These incidents are an indictment of the legal system and the policy and training of LEO. While technically legal neither shooting was necessary. In this instance the man was killed for having earbuds in his ear and not hearing the LEO commands.

By not responding INSTANTLY with abject and total obeisance the victim triggered the officers predatory instinct.....by failing to obey instantaneously he was automatically classified as a lethal risk and treated as such. That means the officer drew his service weapon and bypassed ALL OTHER POTENTIAL COURSES OF ACTION. Thus when he finally got the victims attention....he was primed to kill.
And the second the victim did EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS TOLD TO DO.....show his hands he was killed. The problem is the training, attitude and mindset of LEO, the
"go home at the end of your shift no matter what you have to do or who you have to kill' mentality. And this victim was just another offering on the disgusting altar of officer safety. There were a LOT of things that could have been done but were not because the officer chose not to do them and made the decision within moments of arriving that the victim was a criminal and a lethal threat.

If ANYONE but LEO does this it's an automatic charge of at LEAST manslaughter.
We need to hold LEO to the same exact standard. DON'T SHOOT based on perceptions and preconceived notions. This was a 'legal' shooting and one that was
likely 'in policy' but it's still a bad shooting in the real world the rest of us live in.

& their mindset change these days for many of them.

the officer drew his service weapon and bypassed ALL OTHER POTENTIAL COURSES OF ACTION.

Can't remember the particulars, but some company is working on a weapon that will have both lethal and non-lethel options at the squeeze of a trigger.

& laws changed to make them legally liable for their actions.

nonsense and he'd have known "Hands up don't shoot" .

Seems like this officer did the right thing here.

  7. That was straight up suicide by cop. He obviously heard the cop and his demands, but continued acting furtive, keeping his hands hidden from the cop, until he turns around and lifts up his shirt like he was pulling a gun.

  8. Nic, when a "good" cop protects(looks the other way) the bad ones that makes them bad. I'm sorry there are no good cops. How often do you see a cop arrest another cop?

  9. A few things obvious to me. The man was walking away. The man was apparently listening to music or something on an I-phone or whatever and likely couldn't hear the cops order initially. The cop spent the first three minutes of the engagement shooting the guy and cuffing him and worrying about his camera being on before he did anything to stop the man from bleeding or attempt any sort of CPR. At one point, when he called for medical he said "not conscious, not breathing" but at that point he
had not checked the vital signs. Then after he had cuffed the guy behind his back he rolls him over and starts make poor attempts to stop the bleeding and encourage the guy even though a quart or more of the mans blood was already on the ground. Clearly, in my opinion, acting for the camera to cover his actions.

I'm very much pro cop. I want to make that clear. However I'm going to repeat something a friend of mine told me about 10 years ago and it's proved prophetic.
Mind you the guy that told me this is a former cop who's brother is a retired cop and he has 2 cop nephews. He told me this" "go out to the high school and look around.
You'll find kids playing ball, kids in the band, the honor society, the drama club, etc. etc. Then look over in a corner somewhere and you'll see some kids with their heads hung down standing in the shadows not participating in anything. Wait 4 years and those kids will be cops". I started watching and there is a lot of truth in what he said.
Not all young cops but a significant amount of them fit into this pattern.

It's my belief that these guys are basically cowards who become a cop so they can pin some courage on their chest in the form of a badge. I wish it wasn't that way but it
appears to be the case. I'm not going to say it is the fault of the cop. The fault lies in
the screening and training that young cops are getting.

I've been very fortunate to have very little involvement with law enforcement in my life.
It's not by accident. I've for the most part behaved myself and all of my "history" with the law has been traffic related. The last time I was stopped by a highway patrolman
was on Jan. 1, 2006. I had just bought a new truck and was taking my mom for a ride in it. We were chatting and I wasn't paying attention to the speed limit or to how fast the smooth new truck was going. A trooper stopped me for going 62 in a 45. That's a loose your license speed in NC. The trooper was an older one, a Sargent and nearing retirement. He gave me a warning, actually he gave me two warnings. The first warning was for speeding. He wrote me a warning ticket. The second warning was what he told me when he handed me the warning ticket. "Be glad it was me and not one of these young punks they are hiring now. They are crazy".

  10. I do not believe it was suicide, legal or justified. Not that being legal make is "right". There are only two kinds of people who would shoot an unarmed man that quickly. One is a coward because he is scared. The other is a sadist who enjoys being dominant over other people and ultimately seeing them suffer. Sic Semper Tyrannis

  12. Looks like cold blooded murder to me. At what point are the American people going to say enough is enough of this first reaction of extreme violence by the police?

  13. At some point watching cops acting stupidly, you need to ask yourself will you comply with the order to raise your hands and be fucking murdered or defend yourself, Sorry Nic you are correct there are plenty of good cops but you cant fix stupid brother. so many other ways to deal with something like this, If you shot this man because you thought you were defending yourself you would be in prison.

  15. Watching this innocent man die was disturbing to say the least and esp. his being
innocent but why did he not put his hands up as ordered instead of placing his hands
in his waistband. I know he could hear the order as the cop was yelling. The same
thing happened a couple of months ago when a cop told a real thug who had his back
to the cop to raise his hands and turn around. The thug turned around without raising his hands and had a gun and killed the cop. It seems the thugs hide the guns inside
    their waistbands.

  16. Fuck it. I dont give a flying chicken fuck anymore. I'm going to worry about myself and my god damn American family and friends. I'm plenty up to speed on shit. Cops do arrest cops, they also murder people. They also save people, anonymous.. Telling someone to go kill themselves is a very good reflection into your pathetic life that suicide crosses your mind so easily. Some of us real men have families to support. I am so sick of negativity EVERYWHERE!! it never ends. Now I'm going back into my bomb shelter to play with my fucking thunder cats! If anyone needs me, tough fucking shit! Except a few of you, you know who you are.

    2. Just like some communists are 'decent people' some muslims don't believe in killing non muslims. Both groups are considered outcasts and pariahs to the 'true believers, and in the case of islam the term is 'apostate' and they are to be killed even before a kefir. Some belief structures will not tolerate moderation.....unless it's a tactic used to gain advantage, then it's an act.

  18. Been a Police Officer for over 20 years.

Did a few years in the military, been downrange before and since I have been a cop, used my GI Bill to get my BA before I became a cop.

Bad shoot in my opinion, going by the video the officer was far to quick on the the trigger.

When we put on the uniform and go to work we have to accept that we may get shot or killed.

We get paid to be in dangerous situations. I am not saying we should forget officer safety, but seems the last 10 years the type people selected to be police officers has changed.

In my opinion it seems we are hiring a lot of people who are wanna be "operators" who never served in the military, but sure can buy all the spiffy tacti-cool gear. (I am not saying you have to be a Vet to be a cop)

Some dept's are lowering standards and hiring younger officers, most who have no life, or work experience to speak of, almost no people skills and almost all who have had no real life tactical encounter, CQB experience or even experience in a real fist fight.

I could go on for quite a while laying out the changes I have seen in policing, new hires, new officers attitudes, the willingness to follow the command blindly without regard to the laws and not thinking for themselves for a moment.

When I became a cop there was no way I thought my fellow officers would have put people in the boxcar, or rounded up guns. However, with the change in the last 10 years I am not so sure at least some of them would be excited to gestapo out and "just follow orders".

Bad Moon Rising out there folks.
