Complaint over Nazi re-enactors leads Fairfax park officials to pause

Nazi Re-enactors: A photo from the German government's national archives shows Adolf Hitler reviewing the SS Leibstandarte A.H. combat unit in December 1935. A re-enactor group's portrayal of the unit drew the ire of one U.S. military veteran, and has caused the Fairfax County Park Authority to scrap the World War II re-enactment planned for Sully Historic Site in 2016. - o.Ang.
"PC is far from being dead and buried. Why do misinformed libtards insist on slandering Gen. Forrest? We had a similar thing happen a few years ago in liberal Oak Ridge, TN where one of the spinster planning officials felt like the re-enactment glorified war! I mean the reason Oak Ridge is even there is because .gov needed a remote place to develop one of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan at the end of WW2!"
-Jeffery

Fairfax County Park Authority officials have canceled next year’s World War II bivouac at Sully Historic Site in Chantilly and will re-evaluate the event’s future, after a veteran complained that this summer’s event featured re-enactors portraying a notoriously vicious group of Nazis.

Retired U.S. Army Col. James Currie of Alexandria became incensed after seeing a Washington Post photo taken at the site’s World War II Weekend, held July 11 and 12, which had actors dressed as members of combat unit 1 SS Leibstandarte A.H.(It's a reenactment, dorkhead.)

    1. You hardly see any bumper stickers in CA and I mentioned that it was probably because nobody wanted to "offend" anyone. :)

    2. It must be rough to be PC, because at some point even ones own mind is going to be offensive. :)

Having grown up among Southern Rednecks I was inoculated against all strains of PC at a very early age. :)

  2. I was channel surfing last night and saw where an Illinois high school PE teacher and coach was on a crusade to abolish "Dodge Ball". He went on to expound how the game humiliated and terrified certain children. Where does it end?

    1. As they say, liberalism is a disease.

Do you have an idea on this question?

"Do you know where I may obtain an original Russian RPG-2's for a veterans display. These RPG's have been demilled to ATF specifications with a bore sized hole cut in the side, a rod welded in place thru the bore and the firing pin has been disabled."

Also, I did a quick scan of Ebay, but didn't see anything, though you can sometimes find resin and rubber mock-ups of most anything used in the movie industry. I have a Sturmgehwehr 44 that looks like the "real deal" from five yards. I'll keep looking.

  3. http://mydigimag.rrd.com/iphone/article.php?id=714792&id_issue=68354&src=&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F Says this Currie fellow only served four years active duty and spent the remainder of 30 in the reserves. Appears his career was academic in focus. Coupled with that lovely NoVA attitude, I would suspect his knickers to get in a twist. Real war fighters don't have time to get offended, if anything it's a subject worth taking an interest in
