There is a street in Waynesville, North Carolina called Pigeon Street that blacks want to name MLK. It is a century old street. But, there is a street in Waynesville called Hill St. where drug addicts and such ruled. I worked for the Health Dept. and we were told not to go on that st. A good spot for MLK St. When I worked in Waynesville yrs. ago, there were no blacks. Where, oh where. http://www.wlos.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/Waynesville-Man-Works-to-Rename-Street-After-Martin-Luther-King-253515.shtml#.Vs5rP6Kn9Gg
