Perhaps she ought to have dry-fire drilled point blank- perhaps a mag dump through the purse... Yeah, it's easy to armchair courterback but the point is lessons learned and room for improvement...
Also...the apparent shot placement appears to be at head level and straight on, about a foot above the wall. For the wall to be spattered like that her gun would have to be at a downward angle.
