  1. Amazing pics. Thanks. The suicide rate for returning vets
    was astronomical. I suppose a lot had to do with their
    return reception, like spitting on them. Those spitter's
    would have been worth a bullet.

    1. I extended twice over there while I was still in the Army and received home leave both times. Only once when I came back to SF did a girl say out loud as I was passing "I'm sick of seeing these uniforms." Being the Southern gentleman that I am I only said f--- you! She looked shocked. :)

    wasn't what it is today - lunatics.

    1. :) I was walling down a street when a young man asked for money. I told him to get a job to which he replied, I can't find one so I said join the Army! He looked more shocked that the girl :)
