Sen. Rand Paul Continues To Question The Trump Administration’s Action In Syria

Sen. Rand Paul spoke with Judge Jeannine Pirro Saturday night and continued to criticize President Trump’s decision to strike a Syrian airfield. He maintains that the strike was not constitutional and will only lead to more destruction.

“We just spent a lengthy week approving Justice Gorsuch, and what many conservatives like about him is that he adheres to the law,” Paul told Pirro. “He’s an originalist. I’m the same way as a legislator. I think we should look to our Founding Fathers and to the opening debates of our country.

They said that the power to declare war or to initiate war resided in the legislature. Specifically, the did not give it to the executive. It was a big debate, and they were explicit: War would be declared by Congress. So, when we go to war, that’s the way it should be.”

If President Trump runs his foreign policy and views the limits of the Constitution based upon what others "think" it is going to be a very long 4 years. As with Bush, it will likely lead to a democratic congress as well as another version of Obama, if for no other reason they the betrayal of the trust of his supporters.

I believe the comments listed on the link listed below sum it up rather nicely....
