Top Five Pocket Carry Holsters

I use the Super Fly below which is an upgrade to the Nemesis above for my LCR .357. I have found that the holster can come out of your pocket with gun attached if you don't use the reversible outer flap which comes with the Super fly, but not the Nemesis. I also stapled the area near to the end of the barrel to enable it to ride slightly higher in the pocket.

If you carry a small handgun as a concealed carry weapon, it’s difficult to beat carrying it in your pocket. What’s really great about pocket carry is that — depending on a few variables — you can put your hand in your pocket, around the stocks of your gun and be ready to draw… And, to the unsuspecting, it looks like you’re just standing there with your hand in your pocket. To those who might know better, such as a thug checking you out and wondering if you’re an easy target, you might look like you’re willing and able to defend yourself should the situation degenerate to that level.

  1. Although not a "pocket holster" I use an "arrowhead" leather holster for my .357 magnum Taurus 605 poly. It's custom made locally (Western NC)and is a perfect conceal carry item. Cost about $90.

    1. Thanks and do you have a link as I could only find one in Texas?

  2. I've been looking unsuccessfully for a crossdraw holster for my Taurus .357 revolver that would be belted in front of the left hip and canted at about 45 degrees toward my right hand. It seems to be a more natural draw, especially if sitting in a vehicle. Car jackings have become a fav tactic of the street criminals.--Ron W

    1. Good point and maybe you could have one made at hopefully a reasonable price.

  3. Once I saw one like I would want being worn with his revolver by "Walker" (Chuck Norris) on a rerun episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. He probably had it made. Probably my best option. Thanks! --Ron W
