  1. It would have looked great in my garage. According to legend Cosby drove his car (a twin that was wrecked) once. It scared the crap out of him and he said he was going to give the car to George Wallace.

    1. Thanks and here's the killer... I wanted a '65 289 Cobra (289 = 4.2, 0 to 60 and the 427 4.0, 0 to 60), BUT the $7K price tag was too much! So I bought the '65 289 hi-po, 4 speed, 389 rear end rally pac fastback for $2.8K as it had 5K on it. New it would have been $3.5K. Big mistake in not being able to buy the Cobra but another in not keeping the Hi-Po which I sold for $1.9K when I went to Vietnam, sniff,sniff....

    AUTO BLASHPEMY!!!!

No REAL Cobra 427 can exist with out a backwards shifter.

    Is nothing sacred?

    Y'all have a nice day.

    1. :) The auto makes it even more mind boggling to do it in 4.2.

    2. Ya, but the new SS Camaro does 0-60 in 4.1 including AC, back up camera, electric windows and all while not getting wet in the rain!

      Ain't technology great?

    3. I made a mistake. The '65 289 = 4.2, 0 to 60 and the 427 4.0, 0 to 60). The Super Snake does it in 3.2.

  5. The advantage of the Shelby Cobra is that it wedded big American muscle into a small Indian roadster within a package easier and less pricey than their European competition. But a split century soon after, prime samples are attractive big bucks. The odyssey of this Shelby Naja is described by the additions of many persons, marked by many people important automobiles, and by more importantly moments. They will weave a rich cloth of creativeness, determination, and persistence when confronted with limited means and legendary challenges.
