Conservative Favorite Rep. Chip Roy's Maiden Floor Speech: 'Cartels Have Operational Control Of The Border'

 Via Billy

Perhaps no freshman congressman arrived in Washington this January with more national movement support than did Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX). Roy, who served as the first Chief of Staff for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), has also worked for Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and the Austin-based think tank, Texas Public Policy Foundation. After declaring his congressional run to represent Texas' 21st Congressional District, which spans the Austin-San Antonio corridor across swathes of the Texas Hill Country, Roy received quick endorsements from prominent conservatives such as Mark Levin and Erick Erickson, and activist groups like the Club for Growth and Senate Conservatives Fund.

  1. Mark Levin is a brilliant legal scholar and an entertaining media personality. Erick Erickson however, is a never-Trumper and a huge water carrier for the establishment. Back in '14 I was reading a post concerning illegal immigration on his website "Red State" and posted a link to another article that had a few charts that laid out in detail how deporting illegals/slowing legal immigration to a trickle would save the taxpayers billions in seven categories - most especially healthcare - over a five-year period.

I was banned by him with the following line, "We don't need your racism on this site." That and the way he shamelessly fawned over Megan Kelly when the President got into it with her during the '16 campaign was simply nauseating. Anything his name is attached to I now immediately disregard.
