ISRAEL TRIP – Day One

Via David

This December I took the family to Israel; I hadn’t been in 25 years – and when I last went I was visiting my (now late) grandmother, so I didn’t see much.  Obviously pictures that have family members are not shown, but…

Arrival in Ben Gurion airport, and the mob to get through immigration:

  1. I knew these two Jewish guys back in the mid eighties and one
who wanted to go to Israel. He finally went and he was back in
three months which I did not expect as I thought he would be
there much longer. I asked him how he like Israel and he replied,
"it wasn't what I thought it would be." I asked him what he
meant and he would not answer, just a solemn looking face.

    1. That's strange because they do have black Jews in their army. Too bad he didn't reveal more.

    2. This guy was not black. I don't know where "black" originated. Maybe there was a lot of unrest in the eighties,
      I don't know.

    3. It would help if I read 'back' as 'back' and not 'black'. :( Thanks.
