Deputy Who Failed to Confront Parkland Shooter Is ‘Arrested for Inaction’

 The Associated Press

Former Broward County Deputy Scot Peterson has been arrested over his failure to do anything to stop the Parkland gunman during the February 14, 2018, attack.

On March 15, 2018, Breitbart News reported on surveillance video that allegedly shows Peterson standing outside building 12 while the attack occurred. Then-Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told ABC News the video showed Peterson “arrive at the west side of Building 12, take a position” but never go in.

  1. I wonder why this took so long.

  2. Nothing meaningful will happen to this coward. At best he will plea to a single minor charge with no prison time AND with his retirement pension intact.....but he's NOT going to get the pranging he so richly deserves.

  3. He was one among many culprits of this tragedy. The perp in that shooting reportedly had many contacts with the Sheriff Dept and local police committing multiple felonies for which they didn't prosecute. Just one prosecution would have prevented him from the legal gun buy. (Interesting, the left badly wants "universal background checks" when virtually all mass shooting murderers buy legally) . Also the perp committed "criminal threats" on social media to shoot up Parkland, yet when he was reported ("see something, say something"), the FBI failed or refused to make contact with him. But the political-media establishment put the blame on tens of millions of gun owners, demonizing them and devising plans to punish them!
