  1. Brock, I couldn't tell if this was a parody or real, They sound good and I could listen to them all day, they harmonize well, but, the gent playing the guitar never made any chord changes and there were some. The gent playing the wash tub bass string was too thick and loose. The piece of de' restences... the mic was painted on fake and no cord running anywhere on the ground. I am not nit picking, so that is my confusion.

    1. All I noticed was the microphone so you have better eyes. :)

      Found This:

Hey yall. Just to clear up any questions, "No" that's not us singing. Was not trying to fool anyone here, I just love the song and felt like doing a video for it. My neighbors and I can't carry a tune in a bucket if we had to. The microphones are made of wood and if you watch you can see the dogs disappear about mid way of the screen. I only had one microphone so I had to split the screen in order to do this. The video is Clearly marked, "The Stanley Brothers" and if you can't enjoy the video move on. Was not trying to disrespect Ralf Stanley in anyway shape or form. What I respect is that his music has touch so many lives and there are so many folks out there that still enjoy the man. If I could sing, I would want to sing just as you see here, "Ralf Stanley". For those that I have offended doing this video, my apologies, sorry for my creativity, and wanting to honor a great man. In one hand I'm thinking, "Man... You really can't please everyone." In the other hand I'm thinking, "Well, I was not trying to." Enjoy the video if you can. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I know what a mandolin is and sounds like, sorry again, all I had handy was the Banjo.

    2. Well, they can lip sync well... and I thought the "banjo" was tuned a little high and watching and listening to it a second time it is a mandolin playing. I wasn't "offended" just a little confused. Like DT below I love listening to good Bluegrass.

  2. As a person that has been Bluegrassing for 30+ years, I could only listen to that beautiful song and not watch the video. Thank you for the memories.

    1. There is a station here in Central Florida that plays only old time Bluegrass 88.5 (WMNF, I believe) for one hour I listen to it just before the Cowboy Up Ministries at 11:00.

    3. Brock, thank you, I'll have to up date my play list. I'd be lying if I said I listened to the Bluegrass channel EVERY weekend, however, I don't miss my CowboyUp Ministries Sunday mornings at 11:00.

  3. Sir, it is entirely possible I may do just that, I have to go from Central Florida to my place in Bristol VA several times a year, you ain't far off that trail. I'd give you an asking before I dropped by.

  5. Mr. Brock, I just texted the wife and let her know we are probably taking a detour on our way up to VA. I'm not sure I can make it happen this trip with the Granddaughter, but if I can I will.
