I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. The Conservative Jews I know did not wait to be drafted, but volunteered for for the Armed Services. The Conservative Jews I know believe in the U.S. Constitution defined as the framers intended. I think you've been speaking with people who call themselves Conservative Jews who conflate the term "Conservative" with regards to which branch of Judaism they belong, rather than their relationship to the precepts of the U.S. Constitution.
