Has he no brain?

Republican U.S. Senator Mitt Romney said on Wednesday that he will vote to convict President Donald Trump on the impeachment article charging abuse of power, breaking with his party to support removing Trump from office, the New York Times reported.

“I believe that attempting to corrupt an election to maintain power is about as egregious an assault on the Constitution as can be made,” Romney told the New York Times. “And for that reason, it is a high crime and misdemeanor, and I have no choice under the oath that I took but to express that conclusion.”

  1. I'm sure Nancy will pat his head this evening and tell him he's a good boy.

  2. No surprise here...…..what worries me is that he will most likely change parties. We cannot afford to loose the Senate...that would be a major game changer!

    1. He admitted today that he agrees with Trump 80% of the time. But then I suppose given Trump's endorsement of him in 2012 and 2018, he could then also backstab his party, State and country for supposedly a 20% payback for the sake of those to whom he sold out. --Ron W

  3. I think back to the vile speech in which he attacked Trump before the election AFTER Trump had gave his full, enthusiastic and financial support vs. Obama. Romney made no where near the attack on Obama as he did on a vicious personal attack against Trump. The President also endorsed him in 2018 for Senate.Today, he tells us how "religious" he is. Well he is. Mormonism is a false Christian (Pharisaical) religion IMO from an objective study of Scripture. Romney's "religious" reasons were those of subjective judgmentalism, the very thing Jesus condemned in Matthew 7:1-5. Trump should ignore him except to say, "Mitt, I made a mistake--when I endorsed you AGAIN. --Ron W

  4. On the Phil Valentine Show which originates out of Nashville, TN, about an hour and a half ago, he reported that a Romney foreign policy advisor and CIA was on the board of Burisma in 2017 when Hunter Biden was there. Well, well, well, maybe Mittens didn't want Trump nosing around in his business. Just send that $$$$, Mr President, and don't be asking about investigations. You know, Romney is a devout religious guy and that just wouldn't be righteous. --Ron W

  5. And so, maybe Trump should invite Mittens to a White House lunch and commend him on sticking to his convictions. Then ask, "Mitt, tell me about your special advisor, Cofer Black, a CIA guy and Burisma board member. How's Hunter doing?" --Ron W
