Ever since progressives seized control of public education and the mainstream media in the 1960s, they've been in a tireless and relentless mission to disparage the very nation that gave them the prosperity to despise their prosperity. "For most of America's 244-year history, the dominant political parties that evolved had a common goal constantly working to improve the country they both loved," opined John Eidson at the American Thinker. No more. The left believes nothing good – nothing whatever – can be said about America.

There are several items that one could post in the "pros" column, I will list the two that I believe are the most significant:
ReplyDelete1) That the elites who rule over us have finally dropped the mask of civility that they've been hiding behind and have shown us what they truly think about the average American - they despise us and would have no problem throwing 100 + million of us into a mass grave, if they believed they could get away with it.
2) The ruling elite, the bureaucracy, the "smartest people in the room", have been shown to be largely ineffective. This reminds me of when the former Soviet Union fell back in '90. Right up until the wall came down on international TV, all of the "smartest people in the room" were stating - without a doubt - that communism was not only here to stay, but that we could never hope to defeat it. The fact that they were all completely wrong was of no consequence - especially to them. No, they were still sought after despite the fact that they have never been right about anything. The fact that Reagan helped bring down communism only infuriated them more - because he wasn't the one who went to an ivy-league school. The same thing applies here. A man who most of the "respectable" people regard as nothing more than a carnival barker has shown the world that all of the aforementioned "smart" people, are really rather stupid and that all of these problems that they claim are too big/nuanced to solve, only need a leader who will cut through the red tape and fix them.

ReplyDeleteYes! That's why "they have finally dropped the mask" and are now openly calling for gun confiscation and the criminalization of gun owners. As history clearly demonstrates, whoever wants you disarmed wants you dead. Period. --Ron W
