Sheriff Says He Won’t Enforce Lockdown & Police Union Tells Judge They Will Not Enforce Stupid Orders

'I'm not even sure [the governor] knows what he is doing'

Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney said Tuesday that he will not enforce Democrat Governor Jay Inslee’s stay-at-home order, which the sheriff slammed as inconsistent and in violation of Washingtonians’ civil liberties.

  1. Most states have legal processes in place to remove a sheriff for things like malfeasance.....failure to do their job and protect the public. Expect activist Jude's to start targeting LEO who won't enforce such edicts using these mechanisms. Refusing to enforce anti gun laws can be defended by the Second Amendment.....refusing to enforce lockdowns has no legal precedents and thus LEO who don't play the game will be targeted when possible.

  2. I live in King County, the county to the south of Snohomish County.

I heard our governor (Inslee) today on the radio, basically saying that this sheriff was unqualified to make this call.

By the same token, Inslee would be livid if President Trump tried to order Washington state to do something Inslee didn't agree with...
