Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) announced early Friday morning that he ordered the return of Florida National Guardsmen from the nation’s capital following reports of troops being forced to evacuate the Capitol building grounds and wait in a parking garage after an alleged mask complaint from a Democrat congressman, emphasizing they are soldiers and “not Nancy Pelosi’s servants.”

“Last night, I ordered our Adjutant General to bring Florida National Guard soldiers home from the National Capital Region,” the Republican governor announced:

  1. Several days ago, perhaps one week ago, I read where TX Govnah voiced his disgust in how the NG were being treated. The subject at that time was the vetting of the troops. The Govnah, voicing his disgust, said something like, If this ever happens again I will not be sending them (NG) to D.C.

I was not alone in noticing the Govnah was mealy mouthed in his response; apparently some undetermined time in the future was better than acting decisively that very minute. If he truly were that aggrieved, why didn't he pull the NG out that very minute?

Same same with FLA Govnah. Why even send the NG to D.C.? The troops were provided, the optics were gotten. Now is too late. The socialists got what they wanted and no thanks to these governors for helping the socialists to paint their picture of the need for heightened security in the face of some imaginary boogeyman.

Yes, imaginary. For it has been said that D.C. has the highest per capita police force of the entire nation. What, the D.C. cops couldn't handle whatever threat they thought was coming? And did not MaligNancy Piglosi deny the D.C. Chief of police his call for aid?

It was all show. And those blankety blank governors helped to put it on. So, DeSantis now says he has ordered the troops home. It is too little, too late. I think it is to his intent to show that he is a white hat by bringing the NG back home. But why did he send them in the first place? I have read that every state in the union sent troops. That makes no sense, unless one wanted to posture themselves as large and in charge.

I've listened as friends in TX and FL speak well of their state's governor. These are smart people yet seemingly they do not understand what compels those politicians to act as they do. As you can tell, I have little to none regard for any politician now. My loathing of them has come by their repeated undesirable actions.

What particularly galls me is that, while we have long known that the most important thing to a politician is to get elected and the 2nd most important thing is to get reelected, I would expect them to budge when it is our country at stake. That they haven't reorganized their priorities in time of crisis tells me all I need to know.

So, big friggin deal that DeSantis or other governors will order the NG back home. It actually seems very Hegelian.

  2. Brock, Here is another REALY Good Interview that covers my earlier post on another one of your posts. This one is saying the same things, and has an eye witness to the D.C. Military Buildup after the 6th of Jan till the 20th. This interview cracks open the egg if you watch it to the end. See what you think Here:

  3. If these governors were what they pretended to be they would have BARRED the activation of their NG Troops and made the Feds fight it out in court to justify activating them. Which of course would have taken weeks. This is just hot air after the fact as they preen and posture.
