Despite pushback from the Left, the state song of Kentucky will be played before tomorrow’s Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

“My Old Kentucky Home,” written by Stephen Foster, has been played before every race since 1921.

  1. 'My Old Kentucky Home' is part of the tradition of the Kentucky
Derby. If you'd go there and expect too hear some garbage
rap music, think again. And those Southern Belle hats. I could
never decide which one was my favorite. But, with the
beastliness of the South, are those hats still around!

  2. We watched the race yesterday and I pointed out that I was surprised that they played it. My lovely bride (a Kentucky girl) laughed and said it will be a cold day when they don't play that at the Derby.
