This not just about Giuliani. This is a warning and threat to anyone whose livelihood depends on (governmental) licensure. If we don't like what you say, we will deprive you of your ability to make a living.
ReplyDeleteThey suspended Giuliani on an "emergency basis" because him questioning the validity of election results was such a clear and imminent threat to the practice and rule of law that he had to be denied the right to appear before the bar immediately. This is publicly beheading the chicken to intimidate the crowd of monkeys.
Next step: So you're an MD who is against the COVID-19 vaccines? You're a Science Denier and therefore a threat to patients. Medical license suspended! Sure you can appeal. Your first hearing is in 6 months, and we'll drag the process out for years. Good luck.
Hopefully they have overstepped and will reap their just deserts.
