Serene and peaceful. I bet he has some stories of close calls he could tell. Never sick - clean air and living. When Russia sold Alaska to the uS, the Alaskans fought it tooth and nail many times with violence. Voting did no good. The Alaskans did not want Alaska part of the uS. They said the uS just wanted Alaska for its natural resources which is true. Tongass forest is under threat of logging; ancient trees, some over a thousand yrs old. This man has seen the best of Alaska.
I purchased the book, "One Mans Wilderness" in 1977. It was sold by Alaska Magazine, and it was on my coffee table top for several years. I'm pretty sure that I read it through at least half a dozen times and loaned it out once or twice. It was a great and inspiring story.
Ahh Brock you are late to this party my friend. It's a good one for sure. Dude is a legend.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some of his videos but don't remember this one. Thanks.
