Email: VA Doctors Have Nothing To Do At Work

Doctors at the Philadelphia Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office are sitting around with nothing to do, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of U.S. veterans continue to wait for medical appointments.

“Urgent! Need work for In-house Physicians,” wrote the Office’s assistant veterans service center manager Ameen Khabir in the subject line of a June 19 email to colleagues, which he placed on “High” importance. The Regional Office is responsible for processing compensation, benefits, employment and insurance claims. More than 276,000 veteran benefit claims across the country are still backlogged, having been waiting for more than 125 days. Wait times in Philadelphia reached 309 days in March of this year.

So what was the problem in Philadelphia? As of 1:41 p.m., the Office’s in-house doctors just had nothing to do. Here’s the email, obtained by The Daily Caller:

Feds Threatening ‘Third Wounded Knee’ with Eminent Domain Land Grab on Sioux Indian Reservation

In the wake of a Bundy Ranch crisis sparked by a militarized federal land-grab effort in Nevada, it seems that the Department of Interior has set its sights on a new prize - this time targeting once protected Indian reservation land on Pine Ridge in South Dakota.

 The Oglala Sioux and Lakota Sioux of the reservation have been told by the Federal Government that the National Parks Service will be taking land that comprises the South Unit of the Badlands National Park as a new ‘Tribal National Park’, only the wording in the bill clearly indicates that it will be a federally managed national park under the Department of Interior, giving mere lip service to its tribal title. The Congressional bill has already been written, and if passed through Congress, both tribal members and non tribal members will be stripped of their deeded land – at a price set by the federal government. If owners do not accept Washington’s offer (expected to be a meager one), the land can be acquired at no cost because the measure has waived all appraisal rights and stipulates that Washington can simply take Indian land by force under ‘eminent domain’.

Iraq: Syria and Jordan Drawn Into The Fold as US Readies for Action

While the United States has been pondering whether or not to take military action in Iraq, other actors such as Bashar al-Assad’s Syria are replacing the opening in the power vacuum created by the ongoing sectarian bloodshed. Syrian fighter jets bombed ISIS targets inside of Iraq Tuesday, revealing physical evidence that it will stay friendly to its fellow Shiites in the Middle East under Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki.

Separately, Jordan is on high alert after ISIS reportedly took over a Jordanian-Iraqi border crossing.

In response, “The General Command of the Armed Forces of Jordan has decided to strengthen its military forces on Jordan’s border with Iraq in an unprecedented manner” and that “the military buildup consisted of rocket launchers, armored personnel carriers and tanks,” said a senior Jordanian military official. He added, “The Jordanian army is not afraid of any party that is considering compromising or tampering with the security of the country.”

Sources said 228 Iraqis, including Brigadier General Ali-al-Asadi, fled into Jordan as the ISIS militants overtook the border crossing.

Anti-Gun Columnist Asks If It’s Time for the Government to Kill “Gun Nuts”

Here is an excerpt from a column by Susie Madrak over at CrooksandLiars.com,

But Perlstein doesn’t mention the big honkin’ elephant in the room: Namely, at what point does the federal government literally go to war with its own citizens? Because we’re not talking about bank robbers here, we’re talking about (mostly) non-criminal cranks — scofflaws and political malcontents. So what line has to be crossed in the good old U.S. of A. before we start mowing them down to make our point? Because you can’t talk about the Bundy ranch without talking about Ruby Ridge, and Waco.

So here’s the political corner into which we’ve painted ourselves.

Do we have the ATF and BLM agents roll up in armored tanks? Do we use drone strikes? I can see the administration’s reluctance to have that confrontation — after all, it’s not as if gun control advocates were flooding the White House switchboard, screaming to ‘take them out!’ And then we do have the militia types all over the country, just waiting for an excuse to start their own local uprising. These assholes want a civil war so bad, they can taste it.

United Nations Seeks US-based Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Specialists

It’s no secret that the United Nations, with assistance from members of the Executive and Legislative branches in the United States, has been actively working to reduce Americans’ accessibility to firearms. In 2012 President Obama, along with then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, spearheaded a backdoor move that would have imposed gun control on the United States through foreign means by signing a global disarmament initiative known as the Small Arms Treaty. Though that attempt failed, mass shooting incidents at Sandy Hook and elsewhere have kept the pressure on gun owners with the President having made repeated suggestions that he would mandate gun restrictions through Executive Order should state and federal legislatures fail to act.

Given the rocky history between America’s gun owners and the United Nations, chances are that the push for disarmament will continue with more ferver than ever before. In fact, a recent job posting at the United Nations website suggests that the organization is not only working to get guns out of the hands of American citizens, they are actively preparing personnel to assist in what they call “disarmament, demobilization and reintegration” activities. And if that’s not bad enough, the duty station for this key U.N. Peacekeeping Operations department is New York city, suggesting that the organization believes such operations may be commencing in the United States at some point in the future.

Knife-Wielding Man Attempts to Rob Former Secret Service Agent, with Predictable Results

While we love the idea of a good super-villain in the movies, the fact of the matter is that vast majority of criminals are simply paste-eating morons.

Huh?

One of the more recent examples of this phenomenon is the aging Philadelphia thug who thought it might be a good idea to rob a nutrition supplement  store—the kind that caters to weightlifters and other athletes—with a knife.

That was his first mistake.

WH Counsel Can’t Name One Person She Worked With During 6-Month Stint at IRS

 

During Chaffetz’s exchange, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) interrupted: “Mr. Chairman, I think you may be unfair to the witness. The fact is that last night, the commissioner could not remember 60 days ago who told him about the importance of losing those documents.

“Last night, he could not narrow less than 60 days ago within 30 days when he was told. I think that in fact the ability to remember at the IRS is simply limited,” Issa concluded. :)

White House attorney Jennifer O’Connor testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Tuesday that she couldn’t recall who she worked with during her six months at the IRS.

Before working for the Office of White House Counsel, O’Connor worked for the IRS from May 2013 to November 2013 to help the agency deal with the IRS scandal.

Besides naming acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel, IRS Chief Counsel William Wilkins, and IRS Deputy Chief Counsel of Operations Chris Sterner – whom she reported to – O’Connor could not name one person she interacted with or specifically reported to her during her tenure at the IRS.

“Anybody in the IT arena?” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) asked O’Connor.

Top Cold War defector explains devious reason for mass immigration

Virtually all of the 1,087 comments on a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed titled “Immigration Reform Can’t Wait,” by Rupert Murdoch, who owns that prestigious newspaper, disagreed with the article’s call for an immediate “path to citizenship” for our millions of illegal immigrants.

This disagreement is historically significant: America is beginning to see through the thick veil of disinformation designed to conceal the secret intelligence weapon of mass immigration under a mask of humanitarianism.

“This is not a humanitarian crisis,” stated the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers. “It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans.” Two congressmen avowed that the flooding of America’s Southern borders with illegal-alien children might derive from a secret strategy to transform the U.S. into a socialist state.

Democrats Want Taxpayers To Pay Illegal Aliens Legal Bills

As a flood of illegal immigrants, many of them unaccompanied minors, continues to flow across the southern U.S. border, the Barack Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats are proffering plans to protect the undocumented newcomers at taxpayer expense.

According to multiple reports, the Obama Administration has ordered border security agencies to stand down and allow the illegal immigrants to make their way into the U.S. interior.
The Associated Press reports:

Most of the immigrant families are from Honduras, El Salvador or Guatemala and cannot be immediately repatriated, so the government has been releasing them into the U.S. interior and telling them to report within 15 days to the nearest U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement offices. Despite promises for better transparency on immigration issues, the administration has been unwilling to say how many immigrant families it’s released — hundreds or thousands — or how many of those subsequently reported back to the government after 15 days as directed.

Woman Says DHS Forced Her to Strip Naked at Gunpoint During Terrifying Dawn Raid

Kari Edwards said she and her boyfriend were forced to strip naked at gunpoint during a terrifying Department of Homeland Security dawn raid on their Florida home which lasted for two hours.

The incident began on June 10 at 6:16am when numerous armed SWAT team members, accompanied by a helicopter overhead, arrived in an armored vehicle at the couple’s address before smashing in the door and deafening their pet cat with flash bang smoke grenades.

“They busted in like I was a terrorist or something,” Edwards told the Tea Party News Network, adding, “[An officer] demanded that I drop the towel I was covering my naked body with before snatching it off me physically and throwing me to the ground.”
