Jonathan Gruber’s payday: Taxpayers paid millions for the deceptions of the Obamacare architect

The MIT economist who is the brains behind Obamacare has made quite a stir with his admission that President Obama’s health care takeover was built on lies. Mr. Gruber says he was willing to say and do whatever it took to advance the scheme, and now it’s clear why. Obamacare made Mr. Gruber a multimillionaire, and at the expense of the taxpayers.

Video of Mr. Gruber’s remarks, delivered at a University of Pennsylvania health care conference last year, has surfaced in which he explained how the details of Obamacare were kept under wraps until the measure was rammed through the Democratic Congress with no opportunity for anyone to read the legislation. “Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Mr. Gruber said. “Call it the stupidity of the American voter, or whatever. But basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

They'll Be Back: PATCON, Oklahoma City, and Jesse Trentadue's Lonely Crusade for Justice

“His name used to be Don Jarrett,” long-time federal asset John Matthews told FBI Special Agent Adam Quirk during a July 9 phone call. Matthews was concerned that he would have to testify in a lawsuit filed by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue seeking the release of long-concealed video tapes from the `1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Trentadue believes that the suppressed tapes would help identify “John Doe II,” a dark-haired, heavy-set man seen by dozens of people in the company of Timothy McVeigh on the day of the bombing.

Justice Ginsburg Furious Over Obama's Pressure to Resign

A source close to the Supreme Court tells Newsmax that White House efforts to get Ruth Bader Ginsburg to step down from the Supreme Court backfired while infuriating the liberal justice.

To say that Ginsburg was unhappy about the call to resign would be a gross understatement.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Ginsburg, at 81 the oldest member of the court, was "under strong pressure to retire" and "questioning why some liberals want her to leave."

But the close source told Newsmax that Ginsburg directly blames President Barack Obama rather than "liberals" and her comments were aimed squarely at the White House.

According to the source, the Obama administration saw the handwriting on the wall about the midterm elections, and anticipating a strong Republican showing, tried to get Ginsburg to step down before the balloting — to ensure that a Democratic Senate confirmed her replacement.

Now a Republican-controlled Senate ensures that Obama will not be able to tap another far-left justice in his last two years.

Footage Released To Show Beheading of ISIS Hostage Peter Kassig

The Islamic State group released a graphic video on Sunday in which a black-clad militant claimed to have beheaded U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig, who was captured last year.

The militant was standing over a severed head, but it was not immediately possible to confirm that it was Kassig, 26, who was pictured in the video. U.S. officials said they were working to determine the video's authenticity and the Kassig family said it was awaiting the outcome of the investigation.

The video, which was posted on websites used by the group in the past, appeared to be the latest in a series of blood-soaked messages to the U.S. warning of further brutality if it does not abandon its air campaign in Iraq and Syria.

"This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen, of your country; Peter who fought against the Muslims in Iraq, while serving as a soldier," the militant says near the end of the nearly 16-minute video. He speaks in an audible British accent despite his voice being distorted to make it more difficult to identify him.

Man who murdered banjo-picking Hee Haw comedian David 'Stringbean' Akeman granted parole after 40 years

Akeman, a Kentucky native, played banjo with Bill Monroe's band before going solo in the 1950s. He was best known for a folksy comedy-music act he performed on the Grand Ole Opry and the 'Hee Haw' television show

The killer of Grand Ole Opry and 'Hee Haw' comic David 'Stringbean' Akeman and his wife Estelle was granted parole Wednesday after 40 years in prison.

John A. Brown, 64, was originally sentenced to 198 years, and the board has denied several previous parole requests.

His latest request came in April. Brown told the board then that he was truly sorry for what he had done.

'I can't undo anything to change my past. I've committed the last 40 years to changing my life,' he said.

On the evening of Nov. 11, 1973, Brown and his cousin, Doug Marvin Brown, ransacked the Akemans' cabin on their farm near Nashville, looking for the cash Akeman was rumored to keep there.

Police said the cousins were surprised by the Akemans as they returned home from the Opry. John Brown shot Stringbean Akeman as he walked into the cabin, then ran after his wife in the yard before shooting her in the back of the head. (Parole?  Should have been executed.)

Christian Woman Praying to Christ Ejected from MUSLIM Prayers at National Cathedral

Ejected-630x300

According to reports, a woman who said loudly “Jesus Christ is Lord” before Muslim prayers commenced at the National Cathedral was forcibly removed from the church.
How horrible. My Gd, they don’t have enough mosques?

Christians in Muslim countries suffer innumerable humiliations and brutalities at best, and genocide at worst; quisling Church leaders in the West not only continue to provide cover for the most extreme and brutal ideology on the face of the earth, but they turn over the churches to it.  And now the National Cathedral. Non-Muslims are not even allowed in Mecca.

Dir. of U.S. Navy Intelligence sacked for warning about China’s aggressive designs in East China Sea

Via LH

Capt. James Fanell

In February of this year, at the U.S. Naval Institute’s WEST 2014 conference, Capt. James Fanell, 52, the director of intelligence and information operations at U.S. Pacific Fleet, said that the Chinese Navy was practicing for a “short sharp war” against Japan.

According to Fanell, the PLA Navy had been carrying out amphibious assault drills to practice taking territory in the East China Sea, specifically the Senkaku or Diaoyu islands that are claimed by both Japan and China. Once the uninhabited islands come under Chinese control, the PLA could then attack Okinawa to remove the facilities of the US Air Force and Marine Corps from the island. (See my post “U.S. Navy intelligence chief: China training for a quick war against Japan”)

Fanell also stated that China is at the center of virtually every maritime territorial dispute in the Asia-Pacific and that the Chinese were engaging in a blatant land-grab of islands that would enhance their exclusive economic rights to fishing and natural resources.
