Hawaii becomes first state to put gun owners in federal database

Hawaii signed a bill Thursday to become the first state to enter gun owners into an FBI database that will automatically notify police if an island resident is arrested anywhere else in the country.

Gov. David Ige said in a statement that the legislation is about community safety and responsible gun ownership. He said it will help law enforcement agencies protect Hawaii residents and visitors.

State Sen. Will Espero, who introduced the bill, and the Honolulu Police Department said the measure could serve as a model for other states. However, critics believe gun owners shouldn’t have to be entered in a database to practice a constitutional right.

The King of All Media once again put his pro-gun bias on display Wednesday, saying in essence that disarming America only creates more defenseless people thus making it easier for terrorists to commit their evil deeds.

“I’m so upset about Orlando and what went down, but I can’t believe these people who come out afterwards and their answer to Orlando is to take away guns from the public,” said Howard Stern, on his Sirius XM show, “It’s [expletive] mind-blowing to me.”

Stern said that most Americans are like sheep, incapable of defending themselves from the predatory wolves.

Facebook Murder of Antonio Perkins Chicago

28-year-old Antonio Perkins was hanging out with friends he hadn’t seen in a while Wednesday night in North Lawndale. Two of his three young children joined him to enjoy the warm weather.

The sun was just setting around 8:45 p.m. as Tony recorded himself and his friends on Facebook Live. He wasn’t saying much. Then, a sudden blast of gunfire. Tony fell on the grass after two shots.

A flurry of up to ten shots followed.

He was pronounced dead at 9:07 p.m. from gunshot wounds to his head and neck.

Academy Takes Rifles Off Display, Daniel Defense to Sever Ties

 

Academy Sports and Outdoors is pulling modern sporting rifles from store shelves–ARs and other common semi-automatic guns with contemporary features including detachable magazines, adjustable stocks and other modular components–just as recent calls for increased gun control head to Washington. In response, Daniel Defense will no longer work with Academy, and has issued a statement detailing their position.

“As you know we take our partnership with our stocking retailers very seriously,” said Daniel Defense president and CEO Marty Daniel. “We are committed to serving and supplying them at the highest level and expect our retailers to have that same level of commitment to our brand and our industry. Unfortunately, Academy Sports has made a corporate decision, in the wake of the recent terrorist attack, to remove all MSRs from their website and in-store displays.

Other sporting goods stores in the past have made similar decisions, to stop selling or promoting modern sporting rifles and the response is usually negative, leading to losses in both short-term and long-term sales. Dick’s Sporting Goods stands as a good example of a company stalling out or losing business even as gun sales predictably continue to boom.

The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration.

Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. The vote in the United Kingdom on Thursday to leave the European Union, which led to a resignation announcement by Prime Minister David Cameron, already is giving others ideas.

“The mere fact that a country like Great Britain is holding a referendum on whether to leave the EU signals the failure of the European Union,” Beppe Grillo said.

He’s the leader of the anti-establishment Five Star movement in Italy, which wants the euro to be split. The London Telegraph reported the objective is to have “one for the rich north and one for the south.”

The report said that, already, voters in France and the Netherlands are joining those in Italy demanding their own votes on European Union membership.

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen on Friday hailed Britain's decision to leave the European Union and called for a similar referendum in France.

"Victory for Freedom! As I have been asking for years we must now have the same referendum in France and EU countries," the National Front (FN) leader tweeted.

The eurosceptic, anti-immigration FN has accused the EU of suffering a "democratic deficit" and has long urged all members of the bloc to follow Britain's example.

The Brexit vote is likely to fire up eurosceptic populists across the bloc, with Dutch far-right MP Geert Wilders also calling for an EU referendum in his own country following the result.

Thursday, June 23, 2016, will go down in history as Britain’s Independence Day. The Europhile elite has been defeated. Britain points Europe the way to the future and to liberation. It is time for a new start, relying on our own strength and sovereignty. Also in the Netherlands.

A recent survey (EenVandaag, Dutch television) shows that a majority of the Dutch want a referendum on EU membership. It also shows that more Dutch are in favour of exit than of remaining in the EU.

The Dutch people deserve a referendum as well. The Party for Freedom consequently demands a referendum on NExit, a Dutch EU exit.

As quickly as possible the Dutch need to get the opportunity to have their say about Dutch membership of the European Union.

Geert Wilders: “We want be in charge of our own country, our own money, our own borders, and our own immigration policy. If I become prime minister, there will be a referendum in the Netherlands on leaving the European Union as well. Let the Dutch people decide.”
