Police say an attempted robbery turned deadly when the victim pulled out a gun and opened fire on the suspect.

The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Rising Sun and Wyoming Avenues in Philadelphia's Feltonville section.

Nearly 40 shots were fired around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday when an armed man attempted to rob two men who were walking to their car. One robbery target grabbed his gun and a shootout ensued that saw 37 shots fired.

The Book that Trayvon's Parents Should Write

Via WRSA

George-Zimmerman-injuries

"Trayvon Martin's Parents Are Planning a Book" -- so reads the headline of a gentle December 13 article in the New York Times.  The Times obviously found it newsworthy that the parents of the slain teen, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, met with publishing executives this week to shop a book about their son.

Reporter Julie Bosman wrote in hushed tones about "the somber and moving meeting" the parents had with their agent and several publishers.  Although "faith" will be a central element of the book, Bosman acknowledged that it "has the potential to attract major media attention, especially on cable television, which exhaustively covered the fatal shooting and subsequent trial."

I read this story with particular interest, as those same cable channels have had less than zero interest in the honest account I wrote about the Zimmerman case, If I Had A Son: Race, Guns, and the Railroading of George Zimmerman.

I suspect that Juror B37 would read this story with interest as well.  In the aftermath of the trial, the female juror contracted with a Seattle literary agent who specializes in books about controversial trials.  Within one day of this contract becoming news, however, the agent rescinded her offer "after careful consideration."

What prompted the reconsideration was almost assuredly fear.

'Most outrageous violation of constitutional rights in American history'

Fresh from winning a restraining order against the National Security Agency’s telephone surveillance, attorney Larry Klayman declared that the misdeeds of Richard Nixon, who resigned in disgrace, pale in comparison to President Obama’s.

“In Watergate, Richard Nixon faced impeachment for breaking into the offices of the chairman of the Democratic National Party,” Klayman told WND in an interview.

“Obama has broken into the homes of 300 million Americans.”

WND asked Klayman if he was calling for the impeachment of Obama.

“Yes,” Klayman responded. “The NSA and the Obama administration are engaging in criminal behavior, and both are lying.”

Washington Drives the World Toward War

Via Wes

 AmericaAtWarAfghanistan

Washington has had the US at war for 12 years: Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, and almost Syria, which could still happen, with Iran waiting in the wings. These wars have been expensive in terms of money, prestige, and deaths and injuries of both US soldiers and the attacked civilian populations. None of these wars appears to have any compelling reason or justifiable explanation. The wars have been important to the profits of the military/security complex. The wars have provided cover for the construction of a Stasi police state in America, and the wars have served Israel’s interest by removing obstacles to Israel’s annexation of the entire West Bank and southern Lebanon.

As costly and destructive as these wars have been, they are far below the level of a world war, much less a world war against nuclear armed opponents.

The fatal war for humanity is the war with Russia and China toward which Washington is driving the US and Washington’s NATO and Asian puppet states. There are a number of factors contributing to Washington’s drive toward the final war, but the overarching one is the doctrine of American exceptionalism.

Loretta Fuddy Narrative Falls Apart

http://cdn.freedomoutpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/loretta-fuddy.jpg

In the irony to end all ironies the L.A. Times published an article entitled Hawaii plane crash fuels Obama ‘birther’ theories, on December 12th, and within the context of that article may have spilled the beans on why “birthers” should be questioning this story.

On the 13th I reported that Loretta Fuddy was the woman who was responsible for the release of Barack Obama’s long-form Hawaii birth certificate. Of the 9 people on the Cessna that crash landed in open water, she was the only one who died. Is it coincidence?

The L.A. Times reports:

Fuddy, 65, was among nine people in a Cessna that crashed into the ocean Wednesday, shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport on the island of Molokai about 3:15 p.m. The eight others on the plane, including the pilot, were rescued, but Fuddy “remained in the fuselage of the plane,” Honolulu Fire Capt. Terry Seelig told KHON-TV. “It’s always a difficult situation when you’re not able to get everybody out.”

Why is this paragraph important?

Simply because it contradicts everything that we have been told.

“Duck Dynasty” star skipped Barbara Walters’ ‘Most Fascinating’ interview to go hunting

For Phil Robertson, ducks always come first.

That’s why the “Duck Dynasty” star skipped out on meeting with Barbara Walters for her “Most Fascinating People of 2013” special, according to his wife Miss Kay, who sat down with Walters in his place.

“Tell him I have never been superseded by a duck before,” Walters quipped during the special, according to a transcript of the interview obtained by FOX411. The special will air Wednesday on ABC.

Illegal Alien & Convicted Felon Freed Twice By Feds After Seeking Asylum Both Times

 illegal-immigration-is-a-crime

If there was ever any doubt to the lack of competency of our federal government the case of Jessica Martinez should lay all doubts to rest and prove that they are totally incompetent in protecting Americans.

Martinez and her husband Juan Veliz were illegals from El Salvador and they had five kids.  Apparently, in 2003, the couple used a stolen identity to apply for Social Security benefits, food stamps and any other government handout they could get.  In 2004, the couple were caught and arrested.  Police charged them with identify theft.  They were first sent to jail and then given three years of felony probation.

Veliz was deported back to El Salvador, but Martinez managed to stay in the US, seeking asylum.  She claimed that she would be killed if she was deported back to her country and that she was a crime victim and not a criminal.  While her asylum request was being processed, she was released back into the general population.

Not long afterward, Martinez was arrested and convicted of another felony, grand theft, for her part in a real estate scam.  Her original asylum request was still pending, so the Department of Homeland Security once again released her to walk the streets.  In keeping with her criminal record, Martinez had several more scrapes with the law, but was always allowed to walk free because of her request for asylum.

Common Core on the Ropes

https://lh3.ggpht.com/-l0uqQIM3qM4/UVZmBPt8DNI/AAAAAAAAARk/8HvCtkfR-dw/s760/Common%2BCore.jpg

As more parents, educators, and policy makers find out the truth about the Common Core, freedom-loving Americans are pushing back against this latest top-down boondoggle to “reform” education.

As 2013 draws to a close, the once rosy prospects for the Common Core have dimmed. What in May the New York Times editorial board called “a once-in-a-generation opportunity” and what U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said in June “may prove to be the single greatest thing to happen to public education in America since Brown v. Board of Education” is now in trouble across the nation.

Who is responsible for this stunning turn of events? Homeschool, private school, and public school parents who have refused to allow math and English language arts standards, drafted by education bureaucrats in Washington, to be shoved down their children’s throats.
