We Have Racists Alright, But They’re Not White

Imagine this scenario.

A white man commits a crime in a low income, inner-city  neighborhood. After the crime, a black police officer stops him on the street on suspicion of committing this crime.  There is video evidence of the young, white man committing the offense of robbing a convenience store.

After the black police officer confronts the white man, who is significantly larger than the black police officer, the white man attacks the officer in his vehicle and then runs away. The officer follows. The black police officer fires warning shots as the large, white man turns to attack him. 

 

The white man ignores this and keeps charging to kill the smaller black police officer for sure with his bare hands. The black police officer shoots and kills the white man in self defense.

Sheriff David Clarke: Obama's calls for calm "done with a wink and a nod"

This guy is good.

"I heard some of the president's comments last night, he said that what we need to do is try to understand them and he said that the anger was an understandable reaction, and I was just floored by that, because it's not an understandable reaction. People have to come up with a more socially acceptable way to deal with anger and frustration. This is totally and unequivocally intolerable" he said.

And "once the decision was rendered, then, you know, the rioting and the looting started. That's not peaceful protest, it didn't start off as peaceful protests...so when I heard the president call for calm after the rioting started, I questioned his sincerity because some of his political strategy of divide and conquer fuels this sort of racial animosity between people, and so I think when he called for calm after the rioting started, I believe it was done with a wink and a nod."

He also criticized Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D), accusing him of "trying to soft shoe this thing. I don't think he has the intestinal fortitude to deal with this.

Innis: Outside Ferguson Agitators a Get Out the Vote Strategy

Niger Innis, Executive Director of TheTeaParty.net and National Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality said that outside agitators causing violence in Ferguson, MO were part of a get out the vote effort for 2016 and an attempt to "re-engage" the "Progressive coalition" on Wednesday's "Your World with Neil Cavuto" on the Fox News Channel.

"What happens when the circus, and I define the circus as the paid protesters, the anarchists, the activists, the card-carrying zealots that are out there, the Occupy Wall Street crowd that has come into Ferguson. what happens when they leave town...what will be left is an economic wasteland, and the very frustration, legitimate frustration that the people of Ferguson have, the young people of Ferguson have, jobs, economic opportunity, education choices, and education and economic uplift, their situation is going to be worse off, not better off because of this" he stated.

On Monday night, after the media’s attempted racial assassination of Officer Darren Wilson shipwrecked on the rocky shoals of the criminal justice system, President Obama took to the podium to try to salvage their narrative of American racism. The media spent months portraying 18-year-old black man Michael Brown as a “gentle giant” victimized by cruel white racist Wilson, and by extension, charging America’s law enforcement establishment with the ultimate sin. Unwilling to let that narrative die, President Obama stepped forward – and in doing so, fueled the flames for future racial conflagrations.

“[For] the first forty years of our history were singularly free from the spoils system, with the coming of Andrew Jackson, “the man of perpetual fury,” all this had been changed. Jackson frankly divided the spoils of political victory with his fellow Democrats and established a precedent which successive administrations, Democrat, Whig and Republican alike, had eagerly followed, till slowly, but with terrible certainty, the partisan conception had grown into a system, generally accepted as an unavoidable incident of popular government.

There had, of course, always been indignant protestants. Calhoun, in 1835, declared:

“So long as the offices were considered as public trusts, to be conferred on the honest, the faithful and capable, for the common good, and not for the benefit or gain of the incumbent or his party, and so long it was the practice of the Government to continue in office those who faithfully performed their duties, its patronage, in point of fact, was limited to the mere power of nominating to accidental vacancies or to newly created offices, and would, of course, exercise but a moderate influence either over the body of the community or over the office holders themselves; but when this practice was reversed – when offices, instead of being considered as public trusts, to be conferred on the deserving, were regarded as the spoils of victory, to be bestowed as rewards for partisan service – it is easy to see the certain, direct and inevitable tendency . . . to convert the entire body of those in office into corrupt and supple instruments of power, and to raise up a host of hungry, greedy and subservient partisans, ready for every service, however base and corrupt.”

Stephens, and the overtures of General Lee toward Grant for the exchange of prisoners which would relieve their suffering at Andersonville. President Jefferson Davis himself paroled a delegation of Andersonville prisoners in vain to personally ask Lincoln to intervene.

Barney was present for the trial and execution in July of the infamous "Andersonville Raiders". These prisoners banned together and terrorized the rest of the camp. Finally in July the raiders faced growing opposition from fellow inmates, were overpowered and restrained. Captain Wirz permitted the prison population to put the Raiders on trial and promised to carry out their verdicts. The six ringleaders were sentenced to hang and the execution was conducted within the prison stockade by the prison population on July 11, 1864.
