Louie Gohmert Reveals ‘Real Intimidation’ Happening in Speaker Battle

Via comment by Sioux on Vote Boehner out tomorrow, January 6.

 Louie Gohmert

Texas Republican Louie Gohmert said there is “real intimidation” happening in the fight to determine who will be the next speaker of the House of Representatives.

Gohmert announced Sunday that he is running for speaker to unseat John Boehner (R-Ohio). Glenn Beck warned him Monday that if he doesn’t win, his political future is over.

“If you don’t win, you’re toast,” Beck said. “And that’s exactly what they’re going to be saying [to those who don't vote for Boehner]. That’s what Boehner is saying to everybody right now. ‘Listen, you don’t vote for me, you don’t play ball with me now, you’re not getting on any committee. You’re not going to be heard from again.’”

“Yes,” Gohmert said. “I tell you what, Glenn, there is some real intimidation going on. Apparently this morning there was a statement released by Boehner’s people saying David Brat was going to vote for him.”

Gohmert said one tactic of Boehner’s team may be something like: “We’re going to get names out there of people that may not vote for us, but when they see in print that we’re counting on them voting for us, they’ll be afraid not to.”

“Unfortunately for Boehner,” Gohmert continued, Brat — who defeated former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (Va.) in a stunning Republican primary upset last year — has said he will not vote to re-elect him speaker.

Pro-Government Militias During Post-SHTF

Via Michael

 https://tensmiths.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/post-shtf-shopping-trip.jpg

I came across this article today, entitled Are Militias a Menace?  It mainly focuses on pro-government militias during times of civil war abroad, however, there are some very important takeaways from this article.  To wit:

The distinction between “gang” and “militia” — ties with the government
Unlike rebels or criminals, whose actions are necessarily illegal and opposed by the state, these groups enjoy semi-official or informal ties with the government.

Liberal use of state-backed militias (i.e., “gangs”) to abuse the populace and disabuse themselves of the blame
Their statistical findings (published here and summarized here) show that the appearance of militias is strongly correlated with violations of human rights, particularly when governments want to maximize harm to civilians while minimizing blame for the action of armed groups that are, ostensibly, “free agents.”

Common Core Boosters Trying to Scare States into Keeping National Standards

Last year wasn’t a good year for Common Core, and the myth-makers are already hard at work publishing some new spin, but first let’s review what we’ve learned over the past five years. Common Core national standards are:
In short, the more parents and taxpayers learn about it, the less they like it, and a growing number of states are looking for the nearest exit, including Indiana, along with South Carolina, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

By the numbers: Who's for and against Boehner

Via Billy

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has just one stick to hold onto power but it’s a big one: He can strip lawmakers of prized committee assignments and chairmanships.

This powerful threat most likely explains why so few conservatives have publicly announced they will oppose Boehner in Tuesday’s election for the top post in the House.

Only a dozen current and incoming House members have said they will vote for one of Boehner’s three opponents. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., have announced their candidacies; Rep. Daniel Webster, R-Fla., is expected to Tuesday.

However, there has been no public stampede of support for Boehner, with the vast silence indicating many of those uncommitted lawmakers are quite possibly undecided voters.

Vote Boehner out tomorrow, January 6.

 https://reclaimourrepublic.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/dont-be-yellow-dump-boehner-tfernadez.png

My representative Walter Jones will vote against Boehner.

I had a conference call with our Congressman, Mark Meadows, about 3:30 your time. about 15 people were on the line.

As of then, Mark and other conservatives did not yet have the firm commitment of 29 Republicans required to deny Boehner a majority.  But many are on the fence, not wanting Boehner, but not wanting to risk the wrath of Boehner, the establishment, and the special interests that back them. The Caddell poll indicates that 60 percent of Republican voters want no more of Boehner as speaker. Only 25 percent support him.

The  Republican county chairs and Tea Party leaders in NC11 are 100 percent against Boehner and strongly so. At the precinct and club leadership levels in this county, it runs over 90 percent opposition to retaining Boehner as speaker.

I don't think enough people in Washington realize how upset Republican voters are with Boehner and  his alliances and compromises with Obama on amnesty and the huge and unstudied $1.1 Trillion budget that aids and finances Obama's unconstitutional acts and special interests at the expense of the common good. Boehner is Obama's new best friend.

Please call or email as many as you can to pray that enough conservatives would have the wisdom and courage to vote Boehner out tomorrow, January 6.

Big Business Explains Continuing Gasps of Discredited Green Movement

Via Bill

 Liberal Billionaires
Just a few of the members in the Billionaire's Club

Although man-made global warming has been thoroughly exposed as an embarrassing scam, the green movement is strangely expanding, not retreating. A member of Congress privately told me this is because the green movement is completely driven by money, not idealism. The rhetoric about saving the earth is nothing more than propaganda to pad the pockets of the one percent at the top who are profiting from it.
