American Counter-Revolution

 http://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/culpepper-flag.jpg

A Review of The American Counter Revolution: A Retreat From Liberty, 1783-1800, by Larry E. Tise, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania: Stackpole Books, 1999, 634 pages.

A good historian ought to make it clear where he is coming from rather than assume an impossible Olympian objectivity. Then, if he has handled his evidence honestly, he has fulfilled the demands of his craft—whether or not we agree with the interpretation he has placed upon his evidence. Ideally, interpretation should come separately from, and after, presentation of that evidence.

Two historians, for instance, may agree that the New Deal was not really very radical a program. One of these may be pleased by this conclusion and the other regret it; both, however, in their honest description have done their job as historians. Their opinion about their finding, of course, is another question. (And as Sir Herbert Butlerfield wisely warned long ago, historians’ opinions can too easily become self-centered moral judgments, even preferences of taste masquerading as moral judgments.)

Larry Tise, by these criteria, is a good historian. He tells us up front (self-indulgently, alas, and at a little more length than necessary) what he is and where he is coming from: a liberal unhappy with what he considers the failed promise of the American Revolution. In the period he has under consideration, he believes that liberty (by which he means feminism and egalitarianism) was repudiated by its friends just as it was about to be realized in practice.

Are Black People Targeted By Police? Here’s What The Data Says

Government data shows that police officers tend to make street and traffic stops of all races at proportional levels. While blacks and Hispanics do have their vehicles searched disproportionally, they also get arrested for felonies at a higher rate than others.

Government data shows that police officers tend to make street and traffic stops of all races at proportional levels. While blacks and Hispanics do have their vehicles searched disproportionally, they also get arrested for felonies at a higher rate than others.

The data also shows that black people are more likely than those of other races to be shot and killed by police, though the vast majority of fatal police shootings — across racial lines — occur when an individual is violent toward police or has a weapon and refuses to put it down.

Police Interactions With The Public

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) has figures available on public interaction with police. The latest BJS figures are from 2011, and since they comprise the latest, most extensive data set available, it is the one being used for the purpose of this article.

Black Police Officer: “Black Lives do not matter to most Black People”

Via Billy

Following the shooting of police officers in Dallas, Texas last week, Palm Beach County Officer Jay Stalien took to Facebook to blast the Black Lives Matter movement. This piece is longer than normal, but the ideas of Officer Salien should not be ignored by our society.

Stalien, who is also a former police officer with the Baltimore Police Department, wrote the following, which he said was "something that is still hard for me to understand to this day" and that "may be a shock to some coming from an African American." However, he said that the very fact that it may be shocking to some is "evidence of the sad state of affairs that we are in as Humans."

Officer Stalien wrote:

I used to be so torn inside growing up. Here I am, a young African-American born and raised in Brooklyn, NY wanting to be a cop. I watched and lived through the crime that took place in the hood. My own black people killing others over nothing. Crack heads and heroin addicts lined the lobby of my building as I shuffled around them to make my way to our 1 bedroom apartment with 6 of us living inside. I used to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of gun fire, only to look outside and see that it was 2 African Americans shooting at each other.

It never sat right with me. I wanted to help my community and stop watching the blood of African Americans spilled on the street at the hands of a fellow black man. I became a cop because black lives in my community, along with ALL lives, mattered to me, and wanted to help stop the bloodshed.

Judge forcing Hillary to testify under oath?

A judge has given Hillary Clinton until Tuesday to reveal why she shouldn’t be forced to testify in a federal case about Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s double-dipping employment at the State Department.

As WND reported Friday, Washington watchdog Judicial Watch asked a federal judge for permission to put Clinton under oath and ask her questions about her emails – even though the FBI investigated and said that while Clinton was “extremely careless” in her handling of secret information, she should not be charged formally for her actions.

The motion for permission to depose Clinton and two others was submitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Friday. The Freedom of Information Act lawsuit is investigating aide Huma Abedin’s job at the State Department.

The organization earlier deposed seven former and current State Department officials and aides of Clinton.

“As the primary driving force behind and principal user of the ClintonEmail.com system, however, Secretary Clinton’s testimony is crucial to understanding how and why the system was created and operated,” the brief states, noting that Clinton is an “indispensable witness.”

Cleveland Police Union Leader: ‘Obama HAS BLOOD ON HIS HANDS – That he Can’t Wash Off’ (Video)

Steve Loomis: Certainly when the president of the United States gets on TV and uses very divisive language, when the governor of Minnesota gets on TV and uses very divisive language that just serves to incite a very small group of people that have an agenda… And when you’re hearing from legitimate politicians, the President of the United States down to a local prosecutor, speaking in this very divisive way before one day of investigation is completed, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana or up in Minnesota, that’s very hurtful. And those gentlemen are going to have a lot to answer for. That’s inciteful and they have blood on their hands. They have blood that they’re not going to be able to wash off.

Yet another Democrat has fallen because of corruption. This seems to be becoming an almost daily occurrence…

Democrat Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D-FL) has FINALLY been indicted on corruption charges. It’s a case that has been building for some time now and has been threatening to end the infamous Democrat’s career…

Brown is facing 22 counts ranging from fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, mail fraud, making false statements, and more. Brown’s chief of staff, Elias Simmons is facing 19 criminal counts as well.

Federal law enforcement seem confident they can make the charges stick.

Assistant Attorney General Caldwell: “Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the Congresswoman’s official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund.”

Lt. Gen. Flynn: Obama Fired Me for Pursuing Radical Islam

Via Billy

Last week, the New York Post revealed that Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was being considered by Donald Trump for a possible spot on the 2016 ticket. Flynn, a registered Democrat, was the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President Obama. At first glance, this would make him an odd choice for Trump’s VP, but Flynn has been one of this administration’s harshest critics.

And when asked about joining the Trump campaign by the NY Post, he appeared open to the idea.

“All I would say is that I have been honored to serve my country for the past three decades and look forward to serving in other ways now that I am retired from the U.S. Army,” Flynn said. “I’ve been a soldier too long to refuse to entertain any request from a potential commander in chief.”

Flynn was relieved of his position in 2014. In an op-ed last week, he said that his determined pursuit of radical Islamic terrorists led to his dismissal.

“I asked the DNI (Gen. James Clapper) if my leadership of the agency was in question and he said it was not,” Flynn wrote. “Had it been, he said, they would have relieved me on the spot.

“I knew then that it had more to do with the stand I took on radical Islamism and the expansion of al Qaeda and its associated movements,” Flynn continued.

Long Range Assassin is .30-06 Semi-Auto AR-15 – Noreen BN36

The Noreen BN36 Long Range Assassin is a .30-06 semi-auto in an AR-15 platform. It takes a standard drop in trigger, and the guts are interchangeable with other ARs, but otherwise this is a custom built rifle, and a tack driver, at $1999.99.

Several years ago I happened upon a rifle that blew me away. It was at Media Day at the Range, which is the day before our annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas, and I have to say, it takes a lot to blow me away. That rifle was the Noreen Arms BN36 Long Range Assassin, which you will recognize as an AR-15 pattern, in .30-06. I have always been a huge fan of that cartridge, and I always wondered if the rifle ran as well as my M1 Garands. This week I finally got a chance to put the Noreen to the test, ad I love it!

A Common Thread on Police Shootings

 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B_27_ORU8AAVyCa.png:large
Tell that to all those who have won the MOH on down who were from 17 to 29.

There's a common thread that runs through all of these 'Po little Black Boy' being shot by Cops.

Questions none of the Black 'Leaders' ask . . .

Where would Alton Sterling be if he had just complied?  If he had not tried to fight two cops, but put his hands the hood of the car and 'spread 'em?  Alton was a known bad actor, a felon, a child rapist, and known to be packing. He was also over 6' tall and around 310, his size and history -  he was a Bloods gangster - made him a threat. In Alton's case he'd already made a series of bad decisions that brought him to the attention of the police.  He was already facing five Court appearances on different charges. He was no Saintly dude.

Where would Philandro be, if he'd just used some judgement?  He was armed, the officer knew it,
and ol' Philly was a suspect in an armed robbery caught on video.  He was a Crips gangster and
a known bad actor.  What if he just put his hands on the dash, and told the officer his wallet was in
his back pocket?  It is reported that his gun was actually in his lap, hidden by the tee shirt . . .Philandro had a rap sheet and associations; he made a poor choice in choosing to move as he did.
But it was his choices, all of them, that got him shot.

Freddy Gray was arrested for some offense or other, I don't recall offhand.  He had a violent reputation and was a known bad actor.  Somehow he broke his neck inside a Paddy Wagon.  No Cops were in there with him.  Another prisoner was and he reported Freddy went apeshit and head butted the walls and such. Probably to give an appearance of being beat up by the Police - my speculation - and went a tad too far. Bad choices, Freddy, too bad.

Michael Brown was another 'known subject' a petty crook and wannabe gansta.  Video shows him roughing up the store clerk immediately prior to the confrontation with the police.  He was another big guy, young and strong, and belligerent.  He was not afraid to use force, as he just had moments before.  Witnesses, many f them Black neighbors, reported he went after the Cop, and tried to leave the scene, then turned and charged the officer, who was no physical match for a Football Lineman.  Bad idea, Mike, bad idea. Was he strung out on 'Spice'?  I suspect something like that.  Spice is bad, bad, bad stuff.

Trayvon was another young punk, known to police. Suspected of many thefts, burglaries, and known
as a drug dealer.  He assaulted Zimmerman and inflicted serious head injuries before being shot.
Why would he do that?  Zimmerman had no arrest authority, he was keeping an eye on a suspected
thief and burglar, AS HE WAS COMMISSIONED TO DO as the neighborhood watch captain.
Trayvon made a wrong guess.  He thought he could take the older, chubby Latino easily, and he was
right, until old .40S&W intervened.

So how is any of these guys' bad choices, my fault?  Hillary says "Whites have to change their ways"
Really?  You wouldn't s*** me would you?  How is what happened in Baton Rouge any Dallas Cop's
fault?  What mental process - assuming there is one - do these people use to arrive at these idiotic
positions?"
