The Rev. Al Sharpton is a darling of the national news media, primarily because he has a talent for making outrageous statements and the lack of scruples to go with it.

You should keep this in mind. In today’s media-saturated world, nobody can be a successful demagogue without the cooperation of the national news media. Sharpton has even outdone Jesse Jackson as a demagogue.

*I don't know about this being 'rarely enforced" as after 12 years, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law were permitted to come here but we signed an agreement that we would be responsible for the costs of any government programs they might use for 10 years, which is exactly the way it should be.

Actor Jon Voight took to Twitter on May 24 to express his support for President Donald Trump, calling him the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

Speaking directly to Republicans, the Academy Award-winning actor began by saying “I know that you’ll agree with me when I say that our president has our utmost respect and our love.”

“This job is not easy for he’s battling the left and their absurd words of destruction. … Our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln :) Davis” Voight said.

The Truth No Longer Matters: NAILED

“All we need to do is to tell the truth about the War.” I became actively involved in the “Southern” movement in the early 1960s. From that time up to the present I have often heard my fellow Southerners declare of our enemies, “They (our enemies) just do not understand the truth about the War. All we need to do is tell the truth.” This simple, assumed, truism has been repeated for over a half century. Not only repeated but it has been the guiding principle for those few organizations and individuals who are attempting to defend our Southern heritage. Unfortunately, this simple truism is based upon a false premise so elusive and shocking that most conservative Southerners find it almost impossible to comprehend. Southern conservatives have been operating on the premise that our opponents share our values regarding truth. Our enemies have rejected our traditional standard of truth. Our enemies considered truth to be anything that advances their neo-Marxist agenda and they consider falsehood to be anything that supports traditional American and especially Southern values. The vast majority of Southern conservatives have yet to comprehend the fact that in the current politically correct U.S.A. it is impossible to have a civil discussion with our opponents. Most Southern “conservatives” do not realize who our opponents are nor do they realize the pernicious nature of our opponents’ underlying philosophy.

Show Me Where the Statue Hurt You

I attended a protest to tear down the John C. Calhoun monument in Charleston on May 16, 2019. This event was being hosted by “The Independent Media Institute,” and consisted of “artists” explaining how the monument is a symbol of white supremacy to them. Almost two years ago, in August of 2017, I attended a similar protest put on by Antifa in Charleston, which sparked my interest in learning more and writing about Southern heritage.

Current HUD Secretary Ben Carson is a renowned neurosurgeon who in 1987 successfully separated conjoined twins after almost 30 hours in surgery. It was a historic medical feat. Yet, because he talked about Oreo cookies at a recent HUD hearing, the Democratic National Committee deemed him a "moron."
