David Crockett

This essay is taken in part from the chapter “Frontiersman” in Brion McClanahan’s The Politically Incorrect Guide to Real American Heroes (Politically Incorrect Guides) and is presented here in honor of Crockett’s birthday, August 17.

The modern actor Billy Bob Thornton once said David Crockett in the film The Alamo was his favorite role. John Wayne played him, too. Every boy who grew up before the 1970s wanted to be Crockett. He was the “king of the wild frontier,” the man who wrestled bears and jumped rivers, the man with the sharpshooter’s eye who tamed the wilderness. He was larger than life; as one historian wrote, “His life is a veritable romance, with the additional charm of unquestionable truth. It opens to the reader scenes in the lives of the lowly, and a state of semi-civilization, of which but few of them can have the faintest idea.” Crockett was so popular because he was one of us, a common man without advantages who achieved great things on his own merit. He was the quintessential American.

Special Prosecutor Appointed In Jussie Smollett Investigation

A Chicago judge appointed a special prosecutor on Friday morning to lead the investigation into the handling of the Jussie Smollett case.

Cook County Judge Michael Toomin appointed former U.S. Attorney Dan Webb to the position to investigate the way the case was handled — specifically, why the 16 criminal charges against Smollett were dropped and to potentially reinstate the charges or even add additional charges against Smollett.

Hemp Industry and Law Enforcement Clash Over NC Farm Act

Via Cousin John

North Carolina legislators have found themselves in the midst of a battle between the state’s law enforcement community and the hemp industry over the legal status of hemp and marijuana in North Carolina. At recent committee meetings in the state legislature, it has come to light that the most profitable hemp product is the smokable hemp flower. The problem with this is that this dried plant material is indistinguishable, both visually and aromatically, from marijuana. Therein lies the problem for law enforcement.

Claims that Trump's a Racist Take a Beating as New Polling with Minorities Confounds Media Narrative

If there’s been one unified theme from the establishment media over the last year, it’s this: “Donald Trump is a racist.”

On nearly every news channel across the country, pundits have breathlessly insisted that the president of the United States is a bigot, a wildly unpopular figure who is one step away from being tossed out of the White House.

Major politicians have also joined in that chorus, with 2020 hopefuls like Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren openly declaring that the president is a white supremacist. Other prominent voices have implied that anyone who defends Trump is automatically a racist. But all this ranting is falling on deaf ears.

6 Reasons CNN Hired Disgraced Former FBI Official Andrew McCabe

CNN’s decision to hire disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe as a contributor makes perfect sense to anyone who is at all familiar with the fake news network.

1. Russia Collusion Hoax Forever

McCabe is one of the chief architects behind the Russia Collusion Hoax and this hoax is something the far-left CNN does not want to let go of. Even though Robert Mueller’s report proves President Trump did not collude with the Russians or obstruct justice, things like facts, science, and truth have never mattered to anyone at CNN.

Illuminism And The Destruction Of The South

Recently I read an article on https://tcallenco.blogspot.com written back in July of 2009. It was a bit lengthy and I did not agree with parts of it, but on the whole, I felt Mr. Allen was pretty much on target. He looked at the Illuminist presence in the world and in this country. He noted the activities of one Giuseppe Mazzini, an Italian revolutionary who “…came to the United States and organized the Young America movement. The Young America society was modeled  after his Young Italy, a secret society whose objective was to overthrow the established governments of Italy and unite Italy under a republican government…He was a believer in violent revolution and a forefather of Communism. He organized the Revolution of 1848, whose purpose was to overthrow the monarchs of continental Europe and replace them with a communist state.”
