Hard to believe that was 21 years ago and that "infant daughter" is now grown. I wonder what happened to her. I guess she is still with or around Randy. I was at a meeting a few months ago where our local sheriff was talking about gun control and trying to "calm folks down" telling us the government had no intent to take our guns. Someone said "tell Randy Weaver that". The sheriff got a blank look on his face. He didn't have a clue who Randy Weaver was.
Like Bob stated.... "I've never forgotten", any off us living up here at that time, knew that the criminal enterprise called the US Govt. was out for blood! How dare those evil anti-govt. types demand to be left alone to live life as they see fit!! ( Let's set them up, and then we'll take em' out one at a time... that'll teach em' who's boss!!! ) Lon H. was chomping at the bit to get to killing the family, after all the "rules of engagement" said that he could!
I live 45 minutes from R.R. and recently got to speak to Sarah Weaver again. I first met her and Randy 15 years ago in OKC. She has grown from a bitter young woman into an amazing young Christian woman. She has somehow been able to forgive those SOB's that massacred her family. Her new book "From Ruby Ridge to Freedom" is definitely worth the read.
