L’Affaire Zimmerman

Conservative Heritage Times
VERBATIM POST

Hawthorne

In what was thought to be the aftermath of the Zimmerman-Trayvon episode, there was a solid, if perhaps, premature, column from Matt Parrot, which noted:

Even if White Americans did want to feel guilty about the death of Trayvon Martin, the guy who shot him isn’t even White. George Zimmerman is of Peruvian descent, votes Democrat, mentors Black youth in his spare time, and is an anti-racist activist…For us, the most important and exciting development was the effectiveness with which Kyle Rogers of the Council of Conservative Citizens, Hunter Wallace of Occidental Dissent, Nicholas Stix (Jewish) of VDare, and others from across the movement effectively subverted and scooped the lumbering and lazy media conglomerates at every turn. The mainstream media kept lying, and our people kept catching and exposing them.

But alas, the story is only just beginning.

The Republican Governor of Florida—that hotbed swing state—appointed a special prosecutor, Republican Angela Corey, to replace the local prosecutor who originally handled the death of Trayvon Martin and did not press charges.

Republican Angela Corey is moving forward with 2nd Degree Murder charges.

In the background, Presidential aspirant (then aspirant) Rick Santorum sided against Zimmerman and with the mob. Alleged Tea Party Congressman, Allen West, sided with the mob against Zimmerman. And most recently in the news as far as this web site is concerned, Rich Lowry sided with Sharpton and the mob.

It’s clear that this is a political prosecution of Zimmerman, or rather, a witch hunt, based on discredited political calculus that pleasing the mob, will get the mob to vote Republican.

But circle back to Zimmerman’s original defenders, the ones who will remain his defenders.

A sense of justice, or at the minimum, the old concept of a fair trial, perhaps does triumph other considerations—an ethic evolves.

Zimmerman is going to be railroaded, in some post-modern combination of the Dreyfus Affair, ‘To Kill a Mocking Bird’, and Bob Dylan’s (born Zimmerman) misleading account of a song, Hurricane.

Stay tuned…

  2. This is DISGUSTING.

I guess I understand why he had to go through a trial, though I can't see The Diversity deciding a not-guilty verdict is OK - so this will not make the situation any less dangerous.

This I swear: they WILL NOT railroad this man.

We need to make them fear US as much as they do THEM...

  3. I can't help but think you are right. George Zimmerman is about to be railroaded. The engine is starting to roll and the steam is building pressure. Personally, I think it is a sad commentary on our country, the justice system, and the politicians and pundits who would exploit this tragedy for political gain.

  4. I am tired and I have had a tough couple of days with long work hours but I have been following alot of stories nation wide and I am confused. What makes a hate crime? If the new Black Panthers call for blood in the streets and to kill the "cracker". Is that a hate crime? Probably not. If because of the rhetoric from the race baiters and the race haters like the Panthers and I am approached by one or more people of color in a dark parking lot and threatened and then being in fear for my life pull my weapon that I am licensed to carry and defend myself. Is that a hate crime?

What if I have no weapon to defend myself and that person or persons of color kill me. Ids that a hate crime or does it go down as another attempted robbery gone bad. We have come to a place where truth, equality and justice mean little in the outcome of our judicial system. And that can work both ways in many cases. Political correctness and social justice have taken hold and to be honest I am glad I carry protection even if I may have none from the system if I need to use it.

There is much division in our country today and it is being used by many in power to provoke and instigate the people for their own purpose. They must be careful what they ask for. They want to cry race war, race war. Be very afraid there are those on both sides more than ready to bring it to reality and the rest of us will be caught in the middle.

  7. We are in a "no-win" situation now. It seems that the evidence that has already been presented (whether it's presentation was right or wrong) is pretty compelling in Zimmerman's favor. It seems that all of the evidence, other than possible photos of Zimmerman after the incident that may have been taken by the Sanford police, has already been presented. Anything new and substantial will be a surprise.

Can they get a jury that has no pre-conceived notions about this case? Not likely.

The race-baiters and the their racist followers will back off for now. If Zimmerman is acquitted at trial, do ya 'spose the race-baiters and their racist followers will say "well, justice was served"? LOL. Not f'n likely. Did Zimmerman committ 2nd degree murder? Did he kill Trayvon with malice? Doesn't seem like it.

This is just getting started and, no matter how it ends, it's gonna be ugly.

If he is acquitted all hell will break loose.

If he's convicted, those of us who believe in the 2nd ammendment and the right to self defense will sit back and do nothing. WE WILL DO NOTHING. We lose. We'll bitch amongst ourselves for a few days and Zimmerman will go to jail and we'll forget about him until we hear that he was killed in prison. Why is it that the race-baiters and their racist followers are willing to do whatever is necessary to get the outcome they desire, yet those of us who are law abiding Conservatives will sit back quietly and watch the world go to hell around us? Both of those points have been proven hundreds of times. Can't even argue about it.

Do you think maybe these people know how fucking stupid we are and have absolutely no problem using that to their advantage? They KNOW that they can do anything that they want to without being held accountable. They also know that we will do nothing. We are impotent. We have been castrated.

We demand (silently) that the rule of law be followed yet we know that the rule of law has been dead for years. Show me that I'm wrong.

Ahhhh well. Thank God that it could never happen to me or you.

  8. My point was it could be me tomorrow. And all the noise and false claims from the race baiters and those like the New Black Panthers make it all the more likely that this "Ole Cracker" will be confronted, threatened and end up feeling he has to defend himself. We are not stupid and everyone gets held accountable. That is a natural law that cannot be avoided be it karma or reap what you sow.

It is a world built on catch 22's. The PTB in Florida know that if they do not bring charges their worst nightmares will come true and cities will burn. They did not call for a grand jury which was an option because they could not control what the grand jury might decide and everything in a grand jury is secret and cannot be disclosed so they knew if Zimmerman was set free there would be hell to pay. So they go for a 2nd degree charge and I bet they hope he is convicted of a lessor charge and they can skate so lightly across the tin ice they are on.

One thing for sure you are correct that no way this cannot end anything but ugly and we will be one step closer to chaos...

  9. Really. Though I don't see how he can be convicted of murder 2 as there has to be NO reasonable doubt.

    I had thought this also.

  11. Yes I think they went for the 2nd degree knowing they could not get it but it puts them in good light with the race baiters and if they lose or he receives lessor charge then it is not their fault. I wish him the best. It does not look good...
