  1. I remember years ago a police officer telling an interviewer that it was more dangerous for a women to try and fight off her attacker, and instead don't fight, but try very hard while you are being raped to remember as many details of your attacker. (I.E. his hair, smell of his breath, color if his shirt, did he have long hair, or any scars & tat's)......
The officer's "matter of fact" attitude, really pissed me off!!

    1. Check your sources! This is a fake from a satirical site. It is as fake as the Benito, TX gun show sale billboard.

  2. Just as I commented that it's most probably fake, but the fact is that cops used to tell women not to fight rapists. Anyhoo, it would not be beyond the Brady bunch to suggest this.

    Check that one out.

    Any comments on that one?

  3. It isn't fake. Here's the screen shot of it right after the BC posted it on their FB page:

    1. LOL are you directing this towards me? What matters is not the person making the argument, but the argument itself. This ia logic 101.

The ad in question is REAL and WAS posted b the BC. They quickly removed it and denied it and took it down after receiving instant backlash. This is what happened.

There are also several parodies of this heinous ad floating around now. Those are indeed "fake" as they are making fun of the BC, but this one isn't.

Snopes.com calls it fake, but is only basing that on the BC's claims. They are run by people strongly politically allied by the BC, so their credibility on this is questionable at best. Plus the BC has strong impetus to lie here (as they have a history of doing; lying).

What is ALSO fact is that this ad is true to the BC's publicized position about self defense. The BC recommends that no woman EVER defend herself against ANY kind of attack with a firearm. They constantly are lobbying against armed self defense for women because they want to force everyone to put into by force of law the practice women never defending against rape whether they want to or not.

Here's the real rub though: Horace (and anyone else reading this), do YOU want no woman to have the choice to defend her dignity and her life with a firearm even if it means the attacker's life is put at risk? By saying no you are also saying (this is an incontrovertible FACT due to obvious logical conclusions) that you want women to be helpless before the most heinous of crimes: rape and murder. Do you support making rape and murder easier? The BC does, and it is an awkward fact for them, but also one they are obviously not afraid to voice from time to time as seen here. Note that they denied the ad, but DID NOT deny that they are in favor of disarming potential rape victims.

      Just something to think about.

  5. I apologize "Anonymous." In my confusion I thought two people using that moniker were arguing with each other. Nobody I know has encouraged more women to be armed than I. This morning in church I took a young woman under my wing (and my wife's) to help her. She was assaulted and her throat was cut. She has recovered enough to be able to live alone. We'll help her and I will surely try to arm her.

It's easy to confuse old people. Keep up the good work. I will assume you are the "Anonymous" whose writings I have often admired.
