"Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right."

http://texasgopvote.com/sites/default/files/Don%20Kaul%20-%20Cold%20Dead%20Fingers2.jpg
“Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that ‘prying the guns from their cold, dead hands’ thing works for me.”
Kaul also had written,
“Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right.

Then I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.”

  1. And just who are you to grant a privilege to me? or to take it away? If you claim that right over me, then I claim that same right over you.
And since we are going to claim rights over other people, I claim your wife too.

  3. This guy is a poster boy, for what is wrong with liberalism and the people who embrace that evil belief. First is the fixation that they are so superior to every one else, that it is their right to rule, control, dominate and mirco manage the lives of others. Secondly, a willingness to murder, rape or torture as many people as it takes to impose their vision of utopia on others, who they consider to be expendable. This guy wants power and to act as a god. This man is evil.

Evil and as as I've mentioned before, anyone who wishes to control others is sick.

  4. The Supreme Court on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
In 2008 the Supreme Court found:
The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.

The Founders on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
    George Mason
    Co-author of the Second Amendment
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. - Thomas Jefferson, Third President of the United States.
"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrence's and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."
    George Washington
First President of the United States

"The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."
    -Thomas Paine

"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."
    Richard Henry Lee
    American Statesman, 1788

"The great object is that every man be armed." and "Everyone who is able may have a gun."
    Patrick Henry
    American Patriot

"Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not."
    Thomas Jefferson
Third President of the United States

The Law on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
“The Militia Act of 1792 would require that all able-bodied white males enroll in the militia and provide their own arms. Both the power of the states to maintain militias and the right of individuals to have arms for self-defense were considered basic.”

  6. I'm sure Don Kaul feels he should be one of the privileged ones to own guns, not Conservatives like me that wore a military uniform for decades to make sure his right to spew filth and stupidity was not infringed! Don Kaul only has a set of balls as long as he's hiding behind a keyboard!

  8. Your cold dead hands comment is a contradiction for your gun control purpose. I thought gun control was supposed to save lives?? huh?? So much for that. Who are you to change or modify the law of this land? We see the agenda. It is all about controlling we the people.

  11. Hmm, This is interesting you think the right to protect myself from the ones who want to do harm to my family and I is a privilege? You have no value towards being an American, people have fought, died, and/or lived the rest of their lives with scars from war to keep these rights. Who are you again? You are the real Terrorist, anyone who takes my rights away especially the ones that grant me the authority to protect precious life is not my friend nor a patriot. I serve in the military and continuously watch helplessly as you people and your moronic ideas murder the true American beliefs. Using threats to make us change our views on the constitution and religion is wrong and ultimately immoral. I don't know how you choose to live your life but for some on this once great land choose to live in reality of the threats today. You think it's just an "assault weapons ban" but to the logical thinking people of this nation it's the hose watering the slippery slope to complete government control over it's citizens. You call me crazy, racist, close minded etc. but in reality "We the People" are not stupid and we can see the big picture meanwhile your tunnel vision to the real world is destroying this nation piece by piece. But you say it's "Bushes Fault", well yes some of it is but not all you claim. You people pitch ideas to tax the wealthy and business owners of America and tell them to "pay their fair share" when ignoring the fact that they are the back bone of this nation. I've never seen a poor person give a job.... have you? I would love to meet you in person to talk like men and I'll bring some wounded veterans with me and you can tell them that fighting/defending this country from the people who want to do harm is a privilege not a right. Then you can tell them the same thing about protecting themselves and their families from the threat within is a privilege not a right.

  13. Another sad example of a human being. They show there hypocracy ever time they open their mouth, blaming the wrong people for deaths, and in the next breath threatening mass murder. It is people who like to control others that commit these kinds of mass murder, yes people just like you!

  15. You are absolutely correct. The 2nd ammendmemt offers absolute right to gun ownership. The constitution is written so congress and the president can not alter that right. Check and balance.
You are wrong about the NRA. You are ranting and have no proof. I am NRA and so is my husband and quite a few friends. We have never killed anyone. Now you have proof the NRA doesn't kill. Find another cause and stop being fanatical.

  16. This person is a traitor to our Nation. I suspect he is also a coward. Like most of us, I am sure he has a place residence. These types of humans need others to do their evil deeds but GOD grants us the ability to discern. The danger this man posesses is his right to vote ! For moral men his vote does more damage than our firearms and he uses it much more often. As a man of GOD and an American I must stand to fight for his right to do so but the coward will not do so for me. I believe that GOD must surely hate such an evil peoples. Therefore, I know that we win the war of good versus evil. This beings time of evil doings is near. Praise the LORD.

    1. Kaul is a typical Zinn history freak that was weaned on Frankfurt school politics. But I do not disagree with dragging Boehner and McConnel around behind a pickup. But he needs to be more inclusive. First, does it have to be a Chevy and Second, why stop at those two. I can think of another 90 senators and 400 reps plus a couple of Supremes and endless government employees who have also earned a free ride behind the pickup. There are few inside the beltware that should have even a shred of skin left on their ass. And then there is Kaul..... Where to start.
