Vote 'no' on cloture; stand strong on defunding ObamaCare!

Vote 'no' on cloture; stand strong on defunding ObamaCare!

Help defund ObamaCare; tell your senators to vote 'no' on cloture on September 27 or 28.
Chances are that you're aware of Ted Cruz's 21-hour filibuster on the Senate floor this week in the cause of defunding ObamaCare. Media reporting has been all over the map regarding Cruz's marathon speech. The best way to understand what he's doing and how he hopes to defund ObamaCare is to read his own press release posted on his own Senate website soon after his historic speech.

During a radio interview a short time after his marathon speech ended, Cruz told the listeners to call their senators with this message: "Vote 'no' on cloture; stand strong on defunding ObamaCare!"

The situation is that the House passed a Continuing Resolution (H.J. Res. 59) to continue funding the government until December 15, which also includes a provision to defund ObamaCare in fiscal 2014. This House bill is now in the Senate's court. On September 25 the Senate voted to end debate on the bill by a vote of 100-0. However, the key cloture vote to proceed to a vote on the bill will come Friday or Saturday (September 27 or 28).

  1. I've emailed Richard Burr and posted a message on Kay Hagan's Facebook page.
I don't think it will do a bit of good with either of them. A RINO and a yellow dog.
I did hear today that Joe Mansion (sic) D. senator from WVA (I think) is worried about
re-election and is going to vote with the Republicans.

    1. Well, the last is good news and Burr needs to go. Maybe Walter Jones can replace him, a Ron Paul Republican.
