ATF sounds alarm on 3D-printer firearms

  Officials of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Wednesday warned that a possible proliferation of plastic firearms made from 3-D printers poses a threat to public safety.

Such weapons "create a public safety concern for the American public because (they) can defeat metal detection," said Richard Marianos, ATF assistant director for public and governmental affairs.

"That's something we're all concerned about."

Marianos spoke at a briefing for reporters called less than a month before expiration of the Undetectable Firearms Act, the 1988 law that bars the manufacture and possession of plastic firearms such as those produced by 3-D printers.

    Can I please, pretty please, with cherry on top, can I get some info on AMMUNITION that can pass metal detectors?
    Or are you talking about plastic guns used as clibs?

Very funny and hypocritical coming from an agency that routinely violates and ignores its own laws and regulations AND was responsible for forcing gun shops to break the law, allowing guns to be sold to Mexican drug cartels, in order to create a "crisis" , to justify banning firearms from lawful gun owners. Antichrist Obama continues to give cover for those involved with operation Fast and Furious. Innocent people were murdered and nobody has yet been made to answer for those crimes. What antichrist Obama gave his approval to could be argued as an act of war against Mexico as he never got the permission of or informed the Mexican government that the US government was selling guns to the drug cartels. Moral of that story is innocent dead people dont matter and any crimal act will be justified if it advances the partys agenda
