A black Republican candidate for Florida House District 68 faced serious backlash Monday after he tweeted that he agreed with a statement that President Obama should be arrested and hanged.
Joshua Black tweeted “Agreed” to a statement by another Twitter user who wrote, “I’m past impeachment. It’s time to arrest and hang him high.”
Republican candidate for House District 67, Chris Latvala, was quick to condemn the comment, tweeting at Mr. Black: “You aren’t seriously calling for the killing of Obama are you? I know you are crazy but good heavens. U R an embarrassment.”
“Execution is the appropriate punishment for traitors,” Mr. Black responded. “Don’t you have a race? Don’t you have a primary? #MindYourOwnBusiness?”

Arrested? Yes, for multiple offenses. Hanged? only after a very short but very specific trial. I'd be willing to consider life without parole, but would much prefer more time proven methods as the candidate detailed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, life in the general population.
DeleteNo. Hanging sounds better. Just MHO. :)
