A few days ago, Washington’s only non-voting member of Congress, Eleanor Holmes Norton, blamed the dismal number of enrollees in the Affordable Care Act on Republicans, whom she said, made the American public believe Obamacare had been repealed. To Norton, it was not important that the law is unconstitutional or that the website is not fully functional; it was important to blame Republicans. Fortunately, Eleanor Holmes Norton was wrong to blame Republicans, as it is “southern white radicals” who are to blame for the “disastrous, slow-motion train wreck failure that has been the rollout of the Affordable Care Act.”
Yes, the race card has been played yet again. This time by Gloria J. Browne-Marshall in her essay, “2013: A Year of Racial Challenges.”
According to the site that posted her essay, Browne-Marshall is an Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at John Jay College in New York City, is the author of a book entitled “Race, Law and American Society: 1607 to Present,” and a journalist covering the Supreme Court, United Nations and major legal issues. Of course, it is not indicated where Browne-Marshall received her training in constitutional law nor any school she attended. Interestingly, John Jay College does not even list a curriculum vitae for Browne-Marshall.

DeleteIf by "blame", she actually means "credit", then I'm happy to be held responsible. The concept of personal responsibility has never been a problem for us Southern white radicals. And she's right...by comparison, except for Ted Cruz and a few others, what have those Big R's done to stomp out that wildfire?

DeleteAmen.
Excuse me, but is that an extremely ugly woman with a full mustache, or is it a man in drag?
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it is rather scary looking. How can anyone take it seriously?
