  3. Ha! Well, I've lived in the West my entire life, some in the southern parts though, but I suspect it comes from the fact my mom and all the clan are from the south so that's how they talked and that's what I learned. I think it was the term "crawdads" that threw me over the top, lol!
    How many of yall know the "The Crawdad Song"?... You get a line I'll get a pole, we'll go down to the crawdad hole, honey, oh, honey mine.....;-)

The verses were a bit different and there were some that were a little on the risque side, (usually those were not sung until everyone was, ahem, rather inebriated) especially for the 50's and 60's, My favorite one was always this one: What 'cha gonna do when your man goes away Honey,, what 'cha gonna do when your man goes away Babe...Get me a better one the very next day! Honey, oh Babe. LOL!
