  1. Probably my favorite John Prine song. Not feeling lonesome yourself, are you?

    2. Prine's one of those singers who is unjustly ignored by the public, which is a shame. John Hiatt is another; give a listen to Hiatt's The River Knows Your Name for a fine, fine song.

  2. I never heard of John Hiatt, but I just listened to a couple of his tunes - one of them cracked me up, but I won't say which one. )

So, not to be a Saturday night downer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs1bG6BIYlo

  3. Brock,
John Prine and I worked out of the same management company in the early 70's I am most happy that I opened several shows for him. He is a living legend, one of the most underrated songwriters of all time. Hello in There is one of his finest, as is Sam Stone, and Paradise, these all being early Prine songs. Later on "In Spite of Ourselves " a duet with Iris Dement deserves a listen. It is impossible not to crack a smile throughout the entire song. Hope you check them out
