Nevada Cattle Rancher Wins 'Range War' With Feds

Via John

Show down: Ranchers on horseback and protesters gather at the BLM camp to try to claim back cattle the agency has already rounded up

This should cause increased hostility by Patriots to the next nefarious scheme by our commie government.

"Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of the public," BLM Director Neil Kornze said.

A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters.

Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally.

Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of his sons was arrested while protesting the removal of the cattle.

"I have no contract with the United States government," Bundy said. "I was paying grazing fees for management and that's what BLM was supposed to be, land managers and they were managing my ranch out of business, so I refused to pay."

  1. Anyone who thinks this is over is kidding themselves. While BLM admits to being skeerd of being shot full of holes by hundreds if not thousands of of patriots, it was only the exceptionally bad optics, the heavy handed unprofessional conduct of the feds, the totalitarian storm-trooper tactics, and politics that caused the feds to back up.

I said back up. Not back down.

One of two things is going to happen:

    1. The feds will be back, bigger, better organized, and even more heavily armed an belligerent OR:

2: The will attempt to scoop up and imprison the Bundy clan at a time and place of their choosing.

Cliven Bundy and the Patriots, Oathkeepers, and Militamen just raised the bet. The feds HAVE NOT folded.

    1. He needs heavily armed protection from now on to prevent being hauled away in the middle of the night.

    2. I have to agree. The Feds have no intention of backing down. They have simply taken a step back. They will return with a huge number of troops. I also do not expect them to make the same mistake of having a standoff. When they return it will be with several hundred troops. There will be no time to respond. They will attack in the dark of night and by sunrise the Bundy’s will either be dead or in custody out of the state.

    3. They could have called in as many as they wished while they were still there, so if they do indeed plan on returning later, I assume it would be to have the element of surprise on their side. Of course, this will only piss off people more than if they had done it now, I believe.

  2. ...now kick it up a notch.

Sure better because this isn't over if the Chinese and $$$$$$$$$$$$ are involved in expropriating land to the Feral Govt.(that's what it is now, so that's what I am going to call it).
