These soldiers are so very special in their dedication alone. Such very special men (women?) to dedicate themselves to such a difficult task! I was last in Arlington in 1971 and I pray that I get another opportunity..... Ray in GA
Tomb of the unknown and the Arizona Memorial are arguable the two most somber places I've ever been in my life and luckily when I visited the crowd was respectful and appreciative.
I have witnessed this happen in both Arlington and Moscow at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I suspect it is well rehearsed by all sentries. They are very professional and the results are immediate. Most visitors don't intend to be disrespectful, they are just being tourist.
wow - I wonder how many times that has had to happen in the past. A real sign of the times - what a wonderful young man!
ReplyDeleteYes and I've only seen one other video of the same.

Hope his CO gave him props for that.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
I am sure, but I imagine that is covered in their training.
